Long Qingquan
Long Qingquan (, born December 3, 1990 in Longshan, Xiangxi, Hunan) is a Chinese weightlifter. He is a two-time Olympic champion in the 56 kg weight division. Career Long qualified for the 56 kg class at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he won a gold medal in the 56 kg weightlifting. He achieved two junior world records on his way to winning the gold in the men's weightlifting 56 kg category. The following year, he won the gold medal in the 56 kg category at the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships, with 292 kg in total. Long failed to defend his title in 2010, losing out to compatriot Wu Jingbiao, and did not qualify for the 2011 Championships. He again lost out to Wu during the national trials for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Long (surname)
The Longs in Ireland got their names from a number of different origins. Some are of English, Scottish and Norman descent. Olympic weightlifting, or Olympic-style weightlifting (officially named Weightlifting), is a sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with each athlete trying to successfully lift the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead: these are the snatch and the clean and jerk. The ''snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion. Halil Mutlu (born Halil Aliev () on 14 July 1973 in Postnik, Bulgaria) is a former professional Turkish weightlifter with several World and Olympic championship titles. Mutlu is one of the five weightlifters who has achieved three consecutive gold medals at the Olympic Games. His weightlifting career includes five World championships, nine European championships and more than 20 world records at , and combined. The 2015 World Weightlifting Championships were held in Houston, United States. The event took place from November 19 to 28, 2015.
