Long Beach Race Week
Long Beach Race Week (LBRW) is an annual sailing regatta for keelboats and ocean racing catamarans conducted annually at the end of June. Organized by Alamitos Bay Yacht Club and Long Beach Yacht Club it is organized on multiple courses in the ocean off Long Beach, California, United States. It is the final leg of the major Southern California regattas which are Ahmanson Cup (Newport Harbor YC), Yachting Cup (SDYC) and Cal Race Week (California YC). With the end of Golison Race Week (aka Sobstad/Audi/Coast Cadillac/North Sails Race Week) after a 20-year run, Long Beach Race Week has taken the role of the preeminent regatta in Southern California at which the racers hope for the big breeze to roll down from Hurricane Gulch. Alamitos Bay Yacht Club is a yacht club located in Alamitos Bay (Long Beach, California), United States. The club belongs to the Southern California Yachting Association. History Alamitos Bay Yacht Club was founded on August 14, 1924, by twelve local sailors and boat builders. On May 30, 1926, ABYC was formally organized with Richard L. Long Beach Yacht Club
Long Beach Yacht Club is a private yacht club in Long Beach, California. It was founded in 1929. In November 2018 it was announced that the Club has officially challenged for the 2021 America's Cup in January and February 2021 in Auckland, NZ.
