Lonesome (2022 Film)
''Lonesome'' is an Australian drama film, directed by Craig Boreham and released in 2022.David Rooney"'Lonesome': Film Review" ''The Hollywood Reporter'', 23 June 2022. The film centres on Casey (Josh Lavery), a young man who grew up on a ranch in rural Australia but moves to Sydney when he is rejected by his father after being outed as gay. The film's cast also includes Daniel Gabriel as Tib, a casual sexual hookup with whom Casey gradually develops a deeper emotional and romantic connection, and Ian Roberts as Pietro, an older gay man who offers Casey work as a houseboy. The film entered production in Sydney in June 2021. The film was acquired for distribution by M-Appeal, and previewed at the European Film Market. Craig Boreham
Craig Boreham is an Australian film director, producer, and writer. Career To date, Boreham has focussed his attention on short film works that explore issues of marginalised sexuality and the politics of desire. Craig Boreham graduated from both the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), and his films have screened extensively throughout the world and collected a number of awards including ''The City of Melbourne Best Queer Short Film Award'', Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and Best Independent Film, Newtown Flicks Short Film Festival, Sydney. Ian Roberts (born 31 July 1965) is a British-born Australian actor, IT managed services consultant and former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian international representative forward, he played club football with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wigan Warriors, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys.
