William Pigott
William Hilson Pigott (10 March 183913 March 1909) was an English-born Australian politician. He was born in London to cabinet maker John Allpress Pigott and Margaret Hilson. His family moved to New South Wales in 1841 and Pigott became a solicitor's clerk, qualifying as a solicitor in 1863. In 1863 he married Laura Jane West, with whom he had two sons; a second marriage in 1883 to Louisa Matilda Jones produced a daughter. He practised as a solicitor in Grafton until joining a Sydney firm in 1864. A long-serving Petersham alderman, he was the first mayor from 1872 to 1880. In 1880 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Canterbury, serving until his resignation in 1884, due to ill health. He was appointed to the New South Wales Legislative Council in 1887, serving until 1907. He was president of the Incorporated Law Institute of New South Wales from 1892 until 1908. Lester Cuneo
Lester H. Cuneo (October 25, 1888 – November 1, 1925) was an American stage and silent film actor. He began acting in live theatre while still in his teens. Early years Born in Chicago, Illinois, Cuneo attended Culver Military Academy and was a law student at Northwestern University when he turned to acting. Career Cuneo's stage career included work with stock theater companies in Brooklyn, Chicago, and Winnepeg. Cuneo began a film career in 1912 with the Chicago-based Selig Polyscope Company then joined Essanay Studios in 1914. Working in early Hollywood, his popularity increased after he switched from comedic roles to the increasingly popular western film genre. However, his career was temporarily interrupted when he served with the United States Army during World War I. He served in France in 1917-1919 with the 33rd Division from Illinois. At war's end, Lester Cuneo returned to film and in the early 1920s set up his own production company making primarily western films. ... Annette DeFoe (born Gertrude Marie Aucoin; – August 6, 1960), also known as Annette De Foe, was an American silent screen actress, known for her work in early romantic comedies. DeFoe acted in stock theater in New Orleans before going to Los Angeles to perform for the E & R Jungle Film Company. She debuted with that company in the farce ''Hitting the High Places''. She also acted with the Kalem Company in Jacksonville, Florida. In the early 1902s, DeFoe had leading roles in films made by John M. Stahl and Louis B. Mayer. DeFoe died on August 6, 1960, at age 71 at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital. A reel is an object around which a length of another material (usually long and flexible) is wound for storage (usually hose are wound around a reel). Generally a reel has a cylindrical core (known as a '' spool'') with flanges around the ends (known as the ''rims'') to retain the material wound around the core.
