Christos Theofilou ( el, Χρήστος Θεοφίλου; January 2, 1894 – August 19, 1975), better known as "The Golden Greek" Jim Londos (Greek: Τζίμ Λόντος), was a Greek American professional wrestler. Londos was one of the most popular stars on the professional wrestling circuit in the 1930s and 1940s. Career Jim Londos was born Christos Theofilou in 1894 in Koutsopodi, Argos, Greece as the youngest of thirteen children of Theophilos and Maria. Before arriving in the United States, in his native Greece young Londos was a shepherd. Andreas Londos
Andreas S. Londos ( el, Ανδρέας Λόντος, 1786–1846) was a Greek military leader and politician. Born in Vostitsa in 1786, he was initiated into the Filiki Eteria in 1818, and was one of the first military leaders to raise the banner of revolt in the Peloponnese during the Greek War of Independence. On 26 January 1821, under the ruse of a land dispute between landowners, Londos and other leading landowners, primates and bishops of the Filiki Eteria, including Andreas Zaimis and Germanos of Patras, met Papaflessas at the Monastery of Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Vostitsa to discuss plans for an uprising against the Turks. At first, skeptical of Papaflessas's rhetoric for general uprising, Londos and the other leaders eventually raised the banner of independence on 10 March 1821, at the Monastery of Agia Lavra. Anastasios Londos
Anastasios Londos (Greek: Ἀναστάσιος Λόντος, "Anastásios Lóndos"; 1791–1856) was a Greek politician, mayor of Aigio and senator of the Kingdom of Greece. Early life He was born in Aigio in 1791 and was the offspring of a powerful family of nobles. He was sent to Pisa to study medicine but with the outbreak of the revolution of 1821 he returned to Greece, as a result of which he interrupted his studies. Political career He was elected representative of the province of Vostitsa in the Astros National Assembly in 1823 and took part in totally three of the Greek National Assemblies (1823, 1826 and 1843). During the period of the government of Kapodistrias he served as extraordinary commissioner of the Northern Sporades but eventually joined the anti-government opposition forces.
