Londonderry, New South Wales
Londonderry is a suburb of Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 60 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Penrith. History Londonderry takes its name from the 1831 grant of to Thomas Kendall. Its post office opened on 1 February 1935, run by Robert Ernest Nutt, who also ran the attached store, and later became mayor of Castlereagh. City Of Penrith
The City of Penrith is a local government area in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The seat of the city is located in Penrith, located about west of Sydney's central business district. It occupies part of the traditional lands of the Darug people. First incorporated as a municipality on 12 May 1871, on 1 January 1949, the municipalities of Penrith, St Marys and Castlereagh and part of the Nepean Shire amalgamated to form a new Municipality of Penrith. Penrith was declared a City on 21 October 1959, and expanded westwards to include Emu Plains and Emu Heights, formerly part of the City of Blue Mountains, on 25 October 1963. 2016 Australian Census
The 2016 Australian census was the 17th national population census held in Australia. The census was officially conducted with effect on Tuesday, 9 August 2016. The total population of the Commonwealth of Australia was counted as – an increase of 8.8 per cent or people over the . Norfolk Island joined the census for the first time in 2016, adding 1,748 to the population. The ABS annual report revealed that $24 million in additional expenses accrued due to the outage on the census website. The Fossil and Petrology collections are two heritage-listed fossil and petrology collections located at 947-953 Londonderry Road, Londonderry, New South Wales, Londonderry, City of Penrith, New South Wales, Australia.
