Original Nuttah
"Original Nuttah" is a 1994 jungle song that was produced by Shy FX with lyrics and vocals by UK Apache. The track's lyrics were written by UK Apache in the late 1980s and were dubbed over a Shy FX track titled "Gangsta Kid". After receiving approval from his peers for his version, UK Apache contacted producer Shy FX and the head of Sour Records to record an official version. The track is one of the earliest in the genre to become a top 40 chart hit in the United Kingdom. Production and music UK Apache is half South African, and was born and raised in London. As he grew up, UK Apache was more accepted by London's black community. Jamaicans living in his community introduced him to reggae music, which led UK Apache to develop a local sound system crew. UK Apache described his entry into the scene as him loving "the Jamaican culture, and I would walk and talk like a Jamaican, but I was a Ja-fake-an!" UK Apache said the song's lyrics are based on films he watched while growing ...

Big Pimpin'
"Big Pimpin'" is a song by American rapper Jay-Z. It was released on April 11, 2000 as the third and final single from his fourth studio album '' Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter'' (1999). It features a guest appearance from Southern hip hop duo UGK, and production from Timbaland. Sampling controversy "Big Pimpin'" contained a sample of "Khosara Khosara", an instrumental performed by Hossam Ramzy and originally composed by Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi in 1957. In 2007, Hamdi's relative Osama Ahmed Fahmy filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal Court alleging that producer Timbaland's use of the track was unlicensed, while its use of a sampled loop, instead of the full unaltered track, violated Hamdi's "moral rights". He additionally claimed that Jay-Z needed permission from each of Hamdi's four children to use the track, as they owned its copyright after Hamdi's death in 1993. That same year, a 2005 lawsuit filed by Ahab Joseph Nafal, who claimed "Big Pimpin'" infringed the ...

Made You Look (Nas Song)
"Made You Look" is the first single from Nas' 2002 album, '' God's Son''. Built around several samples lifted from the Incredible Bongo Band's "Apache", the single was important in establishing Nas' direction following his battle with Jay-Z and the ''Stillmatic'' album in its reliance on intricate lyricism and an old-school aesthetic. The song reached much commercial success, on the level of " I Can", and it was a sizeable hit among urban audiences and remains one of the more popular tracks on the '' God's Son'' album. It is his third highest charting single to date. Lyrically "Made You Look" is similar to much of the material Nas was releasing in the early 2000s (decade) with its loose, complex, free-associative rhymes conveying obscure, wide-ranging themes: partying, boasting, hyping Nas and his legacy. The beat for "Made You Look" was also used on the song " In My Bed" by British singer Amy Winehouse. Both songs were produced by Salaam Remi. The official remix features new a ...

Still D
A still is an apparatus used to distill liquid mixtures by heating to selectively boil and then cooling to condense the vapor. A still uses the same concepts as a basic distillation apparatus, but on a much larger scale. Stills have been used to produce perfume and medicine, water for injection (WFI) for pharmaceutical use, generally to separate and purify different chemicals, and to produce distilled beverages containing ethanol. Application Since ethanol boils at a much lower temperature than water, simple distillation can separate ethanol from water by applying heat to the mixture. Historically, a copper vessel was used for this purpose, since copper removes undesirable sulfur-based compounds from the alcohol. However, many modern stills are made of stainless steel pipes with copper linings to prevent erosion of the entire vessel and lower copper levels in the waste product (which in large distilleries is processed to become animal feed). Copper is the preferred material ...
