London Resort
The London Resort is a proposed theme park and resort in Swanscombe, Kent, first announced on 8 October 2012 and since repeatedly delayed. Examination of its application for planning permission has also been delayed. Eventually, a decision will be made by the Secretary of State. Originally known as the London Paramount Entertainment Resort, the project originally involved Paramount Pictures. Although Paramount pulled out of the project in 2017, leading to the complex's name being shortened to just London Resort, the company later acquired the necessary licences to still have rides based on Paramount Pictures' films. In March 2022, the application for the resort was officially withdrawn following concerns raised by Natural England, and issues with the free port status of Tilbury. The company announced its intention to resubmit an application in 2023, but instead went into administration in March 2023. Swanscombe
Swanscombe Help:IPA/English, /ˈswɒnzkəm/ is a village in the Borough of Dartford in Kent, England, and the civil parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe. It is 4.4 miles west of Gravesend and 4.8 miles east of Dartford. History Prehistory Bone fragments and tools, representing the earliest humans known to have lived in England, have been found from 1935 onwards at the ''Barnfield Pit'' about outside the village. This site is now the Swanscombe Heritage Park. Swanscombe Man (now thought to be female) was a late ''Homo erectus'' or an early Archaic humans, Archaic ''Homo sapiens''. Ebbsfleet Valley
Ebbsfleet Valley is a new town and redevelopment area in Kent, South East England, and part of the Thames Gateway, southwest of Gravesend. Development is coordinated by the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation. It is named after the valley of the Ebbsfleet River, which it straddles. Although a small part of the site in the east lies within the borough of Gravesham, Ebbsfleet Valley primarily sits in the borough of Dartford. Toponymy The name Ebbsfleet is an artificial creation of a seventeenth-century antiquarian, partly inspired by the name of Ebbsfleet in Thanet, to the east. ''A Quiet Place'' is a 2018 American post-apocalyptic horror film directed by John Krasinski and written by Bryan Woods, Scott Beck and Krasinski, from a story conceived by Woods and Beck. The plot revolves around a father (Krasinski) and a mother (Emily Blunt) who struggle to survive and rear their children (Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe) in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing. ''Attulus distinguendus'', also called the distinguished jumper spider, is a species of spider in the family Salticidae, the jumping spiders. Until 2017, it was placed in the genus ''Sitticus''. It inhabits central and western Europe, the Palaearctic region, and eastern Asia. Description The spider has four forward-facing eyes (2 small ones on the sides, 2 large ones in the middle). Jumping spiders have good vision, second only to cephalopods among invertebrates. The species are gray coloured with brown dots. Mary Anning (21 May 1799 – 9 March 1847) was an English fossil collector, dealer, and palaeontologist who became known around the world for the discoveries she made in Jurassic marine fossil beds in the cliffs along the English Channel at Lyme Regis in the county of Dorset in Southwest England. ''Quetzalcoatlus'' is a genus of pterosaur known from the Late Cretaceous period of North America (Maastrichtian stage); its members were among the largest known flying animals of all time.
