London All Peoples' Sports Association Football Club is a non-League football club, based in Plaistow, London, England. History The club was formed in 1993, corresponding with the creation of the first Asian Football League (AFL). They were originally known as Ahle Sunnah. The team was set up by a group of friends from East Ham College in Newham who teamed up with a local youth team, known as Young Muslims, who were no longer eligible to play under 16s football. London APSA were crowned the first-ever Asian League Champions. The club competed in Asian-run competitions until they decided to join the London Intermediate League in 2000. However the club resigned pre-season and instead joined the Essex Business Houses League Senior Intermediate Division. They played in that division for three seasons, after which they joined the Essex Senior League for the start of the 2003–04 season and remained in the league until 2016. Plaistow, Newham
Plaistow ( or ) is a suburban town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Newham. It adjoins Upton Park to the north, East Ham to the east, Beckton to the south, Canning Town to the south-west and West Ham to the west. It was originally a ward in the parish of West Ham, hundred of Becontree, and part of the historic county of Essex. The Essex Senior Football League is an English men's football league. It contains clubs from the Essex FA, Hertfordshire FA, London FA, Middlesex FA and the Amateur Football Alliance. It is a feeder league to Division One North of the Isthmian League and has a single division which sits at Step 5 (or Level 9) of the National League System. Founder members The Essex Senior League was formed in 1971 with nine founder members. The finishing positions for the 1971–72 season were as follows: Promotion and relegation The Essex Senior League states that a club must finish in the top 3 to be considered for promotion to the Isthmian League Division One North. The Essex Olympian Football League is a football competition based in England, founded in the 1966–67 season. It has a total of six senior divisions and one under 21 division. The Premier Division sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System and it is a feeder to Division One South of the Eastern Counties Football League. Between 1986 and 2005, the league was known as the Essex Intermediate League.
