Danny Lohner
Daniel Patrick “Danny” Lohner, frequently known as Renholdër, is an American musician. He worked with Trent Reznor on numerous occasions, both with Nine Inch Nails and on the now defunct Tapeworm project. He has also played for Methods of Mayhem, and in the past was one of the founding members of industrial-thrash outlet Skrew, as well as one of the members of the Texas thrash metal band Angkor Wat. Career Nine Inch Nails In 1994, Trent Reznor brought Lohner into Nine Inch Nails to play guitar, bass, and keyboards for the band live. Lohner stayed on with the band throughout the touring cycle to ''The Downward Spiral'', both the recording and touring behind ''The Fragile'', the live album/DVD '' And All That Could Have Been'', and the recording of the ''Still'' EP. Harold Lohner (born 1958 in Schenectady, New York) is an American printmaker and designer of freeware and shareware fonts. Lohner has designed over 100 typefaces, and has licensed some of his shareware designs to the non-profit organization Autumn Leaves. He has also digitised some analog Letraset fonts such as Block-Up. Lohner has designed many three-dimensional, geometric and decorative optical typefaces such as ''Good Vibes'', ''Atlas Solid'', ''Joggle'', ''Fortuna Dot'', ''Le Film Classic'', ''Pop Stars'', ''Onion'' and ''Red Circle.'' In an alternative vein, ''Captain Howdy'', ''Mystic Prophet'' and ''Sideshow'' are a unique trio of typefaces based on type found on Ouija game boards. Helmuth Lohner
Helmuth Lohner (24 April 1933 – 23 June 2015) was an Austrian actor, theatre director, and from 1997 to 2006 director of the Theater in der Josefstadt. Early life Born in Vienna, Lohner initially trained as a commercial artist, while also taking private acting lessons. He made his acting début in 1952 at the municipal theatre in Baden bei Wien. He also appeared as operetta buffo at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. From 1953 to 1963 he appeared in various productions of the Theater in der Josefstadt, as well as making numerous film appearances. Career Further engagements in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Zurich followed. Between them he appeared at the Burgtheater, and at the Salzburg Festival several times, taking the roles of "Death", "The Devil" and "Jedermann" in Hugo von Hofmannsthal's play '' Jedermann'' (which by tradition is performed every year). Henning Lohner (born 17 July 1961) is a German-American composer and filmmaker. He is best known for his film scores written as a long-standing member of Hans Zimmer’s music cooperative Remote Control Productions. Lohner has written scores to various international films, among them ''The Ring Two'' and ''Incident at Loch Ness''. Additionally, he has authored documentaries and art films, and has gained international recognition as creator of the ''Active Images'' media art projects. Ludwig Lohner
Ludwig Lohner (15 July 1858 – 14 July 1925) ran his family's company as it became one of the first manufacturers of cars and airplanes in Austria-Hungary. Life and work Lohner studied mechanical engineering at the Vienna University of Technology from 1875 to 1880. In 1887 he took over the management of his father's carriage company, Jacob Lohner & Company, and inherited it when his father died in 1892. In 1897, the company began manufacturing electric automobiles. Lohner hired Ferdinand Porsche in 1898, and with him developed the Lohner Porsche which was popular at the 1900 World Exposition in Paris. The partnership went on to develop mixed gasoline-electric drive cars. In 1909 Lohner decided the company should make airplanes. Bombardier Transportation Austria GmbH is an Austrian subsidiary company of Bombardier Transportation located in Vienna, Austria. It was founded in the 19th century by Jacob Lohner as Lohner-Werke or simply ''Lohner'' as a luxury coachbuilding firm. Around 1900 the firm produced electric-cars, being the first in Austria to do so; the cars were designed by Ferdinand Porsche. During the early 1900s the firm manufactured aircraft, after World War I the company manufactured trams, and after World War II the company began manufacturing scooters and mopeds using engines from Rotax, with which it merged in 1959, forming ''Lohner Rotax''. In 1970 Canadian firm Bombardier Transportation acquired a controlling share in the company and renamed it Bombardier-Rotax GmbH. The Lohner–Porsche Mixed Hybrid (sometimes incorrectly referred to as ''Löhner–Porsche'') was the first gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle. It was developed by Ferdinand Porsche at Lohner-Werke. The first prototypes were two-wheel drive, battery-powered electric vehicles with two front-wheel hub-mounted motors, while later versions were series hybrids that used hub-mounted electric motors in each wheel, powered by batteries and a gasoline-engine generator.
