The Logie for Most Popular Lifestyle Program is a Silver Logie award presented annually at the annual Australian Logie Awards. The award recognises the popularity of an Australian lifestyle program or series giving expert advice on lifestyle matters. It was first awarded at the 32nd Annual TV Week Logie Awards ceremony, held in 1990 and originally called Most Popular Lifestyle Program. It was briefly renamed Best Lifestyle Program. From 2018, the award category name was reverted to Most Popular Lifestyle Program. The winner and nominees of ''Most Popular Lifestyle Program'' are chosen by the public through an online voting survey on the ''TV Week'' website. The Logie Awards (officially the TV Week Logie Awards; colloquially known as The Logies) is an annual gathering to celebrate Australian television, sponsored and organised by the magazine ''TV Week''. The first ceremony was held in 1959 as the TV Week Awards. Awards are presented in twenty categories, representing both public and industry voted prizes. The Gold Logie is the most prestigious award and the industry's highest honour; it's awarded to the ''Most Popular Personality on Australian Television'' for the previous year. The award receives much publicity and media attention. The event has been strongly associated with the Nine Network, who have hosted the ceremony on the most occasions, and TV and former radio personality Bert Newton, particularly in the early days, who served as a solo host of the ceremony on 17 occasions, with a constant run from 1966 until 1980 and as co-host on three other occasions. The 38th Annual TV Week Logie Awards was held on Sunday, April 21, 1996, at the Melbourne Park Function Centre in Melbourne, and broadcast on the Nine Network. ''Surprise Chef'' is an Australian cooking television show that was broadcast on the Seven Network from 2001 to 2003. The show revolved around chef Aristos Papandroulakis, who would surprise an unwitting Coles supermarket shopper with an offer to cook dinner for them in their own home. If taken up on the offer, Papandroulakis then set himself to cook a filling meal using only the ingredients available to him from their pantry, fridge or what groceries they had bought. He also set himself a "challenge ingredient"; in one episode this involved using a bottle of Coca-Cola as a marinade. In bookending segments, Papandroulakis was also joined by co-presenters Ian "Herbie" Hemphill and Flip Shelton, who gave tips on food preparation and meal ideas. ''Ground Force'' was a British garden makeover television series originally broadcast by the BBC between 1997 and 2005. The series was originally hosted by Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh. Production The series was created by Peter Bazalgette and was first broadcast on 19 September 1997 on BBC Two. In each episode, a team of gardeners make over the garden of an individual who has been nominated by a member of their family or a friend. ''Changing Rooms'' is a do-it-yourself home improvement show broadcast in the United Kingdom on the BBC between 1996 and 2004. The series was revived on Channel 4 in 2021. The show was one of a number of home improvement and lifestyle shows popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The show was later franchised, generally under the same name, for the local TV markets in the United States, New Zealand and Australia. ''Getaway'' is Australia's longest-running travel and lifestyle television program. Debuting on 14 May 1992, it is broadcast on the Nine Network and TLC. ''Animal Hospital'' is a British television show starring Australian singer and TV presenter Rolf Harris that ran on BBC One from 1994 to 2004 and more recently starring Phil Dixon. The series featured animal welfare stories from many RSPCA hospitals, including: Harmsworth Animal Hospital in North London. Locations Harmsworth Animal Hospital in North London was the first of three RSPCA hospitals that opened their doors to allow the BBC to produce this factual television show which ran for over a decade. The programmes were presented by Rolf Harris. After Harmsworth, the series moved to the Putney Animal Hospital in South London, and then to Salford Animal Hospital in Greater Manchester.
