Logan is a city in Hocking. The population was 7,152 at the time of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hocking County. Logan is located in southeast Ohio, on the Hocking River 48 miles southeast of Columbus. The current mayor of Logan is Republican Greg Fraunfelter, who began a four-year term in January 2016 and was re-elected in 2019. History Logan is the county seat of Hocking County, Ohio. Residents named the town in honor of Chief Logan of the Mingo Indian tribe. He and his band lived in this area at the time of European-American settlement. Ohio Governor Thomas Worthington established the community in 1816. Logan was incorporated as a city in 1839. Logan was the first city in the state of Ohio to install a double roundabout. Logan, New Mexico
Logan is a village in Quay County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 1,042 at the 2010 census. History Logan was born when the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad constructed a bridge over the Canadian River. Eugene Logan was a well-known Texas Ranger who came to work on the bridge. In 1963 and 1964, Ute Dam, its reservoir, and Ute Lake State Park were built west of Logan. On March 23, 2007, severe thunderstorms passed through Eastern New Mexico and West Texas. The storms spawned several tornadoes including one in Logan, which destroyed 30 motor homes and mobile homes. Three were injured. Geography Logan is located at (35.361492, -103.447733). Adrian is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Lenawee County, Michigan, Lenawee County. The population was 20,645 at the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census. Billings Logan International Airport is in the western United States, northwest of downtown Billings, in Yellowstone County, Montana. It is the second largest airport in Montana, having been surpassed in recent years by Bozeman in both number of gates as well as annual enplanements. Owned by the city of Billings, the airport is on top of the Rims, a cliff overlooking the downtown core, and covers of land. Logan Pass
Logan Pass (elevation ) is located along the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park, in the U.S. state of Montana. It is the highest point on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The pass is named after Major William R. Logan, the first superintendent of the park. The Logan Pass Visitor Center is open during the summer season just east of the pass. The pass is a popular starting point for hiking and backpacking trips. The most popular trail is the Highline Trail which heads north along the west side of the continental divide, through an area known as the Garden Wall, due to the proliferation of wildflowers which grow there during the summer. Just east of the pass, an area known as Big Drift often records over 100 feet (30 m) of snowfall, much of which has been pushed over the continental divide by the prevailing westerly winds during the winter. Logan is an unincorporated community in Gallatin County, Montana, United States. Logan can be accessed via exit 283 on Interstate 90. Demographics History Logan is situated on the Gallatin River and was established in 1889 as a railroad station on the Northern Pacific and Montana (later the Northern Pacific Railway). (Logan is located on today's Montana Rail Link.) During construction period the settlement was referred to as Canyon House, due to a house of that name which was here at that time. The name of Logan was adopted on November 26, 1889. The name is in honor of Captain William Logan, who came to Montana in 1872, taking part in General Baker’s campaign against the Indians in 1872 to 1876.
