Lock Up (1989 Film)
''Lock Up'' is a 1989 American prison action film directed by John Flynn. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Donald Sutherland, Tom Sizemore, and John Amos. It was released in the United States on August 4, 1989. Stallone later said it was "Not a film that was produced and performed with enough maturity to really make a significant impact on the audience or my career. And that's the truth". Plot Frank Leone, a mechanic in Hoboken, New Jersey, is a model prisoner nearing the end of his sentence in Norwood, a low-security prison. Mike Davies (broadcaster)
Mike Davies (born August 8, 1978) is an American firefighter and former disc jockey on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom. Early life Davies was born in Culver City, California on August 8, 1978 to British parents, where he lived until he left high school, aged 19. As a boy he spent a lot of time in the UK, to which he attributed his love for music. In 1998, aged 19 years old, he moved to Santa Barbara, California where he studied graphic design. His love for music turned into a passion, and he decided to give up art school and pursue a career in radio. In 2001 he moved to London where he began working as a runner at Radio 1, later working with Steve Lamacq and The Evening Session at The Deconstruction Tour, where he was invited to a more permanent role. L-Ron La Dama La Dama is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. La Dama is a leading figure in El Paso's criminal underworld who was nothing more than an urban legend. Anyone who crosses her will find out how real she is. Her true identity is Amparo, the aunt of Jaime Reyes' friend Brenda del Vacchio. After Brenda was hospitalized by the thugs that were defeated by Blue Beetle, La Dama was in the shadows as she tells the hospital staff to treats Brenda's friends as well. A village lock-up is a historic building once used for the temporary detention of people in England and Wales, mostly where official prisons or criminal courts were beyond easy walking distance. Lockups were often used for the confinement of drunks, who were usually released the next day, or to hold people being brought before the local magistrate. The archetypal form comprises a small room with a single door and a narrow slit window, grating or holes. Most lock-ups feature a tiled or stone-built dome or spire as a roof and are built from brick, stone and/or timber. Reading & Leeds
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. The Reading Festival is held at Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of a historic house. Headliners and most supporting acts typically play at both sites, with Reading's Friday line up becoming Leeds' Saturday line-up, Reading's Saturday line-up playing at Leeds on Sunday, and Leeds' Friday line-up attending Reading on Sunday. Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include camping. Day tickets are also sold. Lock Up (British Band)
Lock Up is an English grindcore supergroup, originally formed by Shane Embury (Napalm Death, Venomous Concept), Nicholas Barker (ex-Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir) and Jesse Pintado (Napalm Death, Terrorizer). Lock Up was joined by Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy) for its debut album, 1999's ''Pleasures Pave Sewers'', and Tomas Lindberg (At the Gates, Disfear) for 2002's ''Hate Breeds Suffering'' and a Japanese tour. The band was later joined by guitarist Anton Reisenegger (Pentagram Chile and Criminal) in place of the late Pintado. Lock Up have played very few live shows. In 2009, the band announced that they would play the Damnation Festival that year. The line-up featured Embury, Barker, Lindberg and Reisenegger. Lock Up (American Band)
Lock Up was a rock band that featured Tom Morello on guitar before Rage Against the Machine was formed. The band was founded by the original guitar player Mike Livingston (formerly of The Mau-Mau's) and Kevin Wood on bass. They had previously played together in the band Ella and the Blacks, which also included Brian Grillo and Brendan Mullen (founder of The Masque, the first L.A. punk rock club). Grillo became Lock Up's lead singer. Grillo had worked several years before with Martin Atkins in the latter's Brian Brain project, and then was known in Los Angeles for fronting Brian Grillo's Wild Coyote Review. The original drummer was Michael Lee, (later drummer with Sylvia Juncosa and with The Homebillies), who quit and was replaced briefly by D. H.
