Local Pensions Partnership (LPP) is a national UK local government pension scheme services provider set up and launched by the London Pensions Fund Authority The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) is a leading local government pension fund. A pension (, from Latin ''pensiō'', "payment") is a fund into which a sum of money is added during an employee's employment years and from which payments are drawn to support the person's retirement from work in the form of periodic payments. The London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) is a leading local government pension fund. It was formed in 1989 to fill the gap left by the 1986 dissolution of the Greater London Council (GLC) in administering that body's Pension Fund. It has taken on residual responsibilities for the employees of several other defunct organisations, including the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA) and the London Residuary Body (LRB).
