Local Business
''Local Business'' is the third album by American punk/indie rock band Titus Andronicus. It was released on October 22, 2012, via XL. The first single, "In a Big City", was posted in the band's blog on September 19, 2012. A more stripped down record than their previous efforts, Local Business was recorded live in the studio with almost no overdubs, creating an album that was "plug-in-and-play" ready, helping the band sound as close as possible to the album when playing live. Titus Andronicus (band)
Titus Andronicus is an American indie rock band formed in Glen Rock, New Jersey, in 2005. The band is composed of singer-lyricist-guitarist Patrick Stickles, guitarist Liam Betson, bassist R.J. Gordon, and drummer Chris Wilson. The group takes its name from the Shakespeare play ''Titus Andronicus'', and has cited musical and stylistic influences such as Neutral Milk Hotel and Pulp. Career Titus Andronicus's first album, '' The Airing of Grievances'', was released in April 2008 and was described as the sound of a "violent, overblown and irreverent" indie band in a positive review by ''Pitchfork''. The magazine began as a website in 1998. It ran as a print publication from 2002 to 2010 before converting to online-only. Owen Pallett
Michael James Owen Pallett (born September 7, 1979) is a Canadian composer, violinist, keyboardist, and vocalist. Under their erstwhile moniker of Final Fantasy, Pallett won the 2006 Polaris Music Prize for the album ''He Poos Clouds''. Pallett is also known for their contributions to Arcade Fire, having toured with the band and been credited as an arranger and instrumentalist on each of their studio albums. In January 2014, Pallett and Arcade Fire member William Butler were nominated for Best Original Score at the 86th Academy Awards for their original score of the film ''Her'' (2013). From the age of 3, Pallett studied classical violin, and composed their first piece at age 13.
