W. S. "Lob" or "Lobster" Brown was a college football player. Georgia Tech Brown was a prominent tackle for the Georgia Tech Golden Tornado of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. Jesse Little Thrash (October 21, 1880 – December 12, 1942) was a college football player and engineer. Georgia Tech Thrash was a prominent tackle for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football teams of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
