Lo Ying-shek
Lo Ying-shek (1913 – 2006) was a Hong Kong real estate businessman who co-founded Great Eagle Holdings in 1963 with his wife, Lo To Lee Kwan (羅杜莉君). Biography Lo was born in Chaozhou, China in 1913 and accompanied his father to Thailand to make a living in the textile industry. After marrying To Lee Kwan, he returned to Hong Kong in 1938 and worked in the cloth and dye trading business. In 1963, Lo decided to move into the real estate business and established The Great Eagle Company, and the name of the company was derived from the names of Lo and his wife. The company became listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1972, helping the family accumulate a fortune that is one of the largest in Asia. His handling of family succession of Great Eagle Holdings has been cited as a case study in the research of Chinese family businesses and was seen as a successful model that was emulated by Li Ka-shing. Timothy Fok Tsun-ting (born 14 February 1946), GBS, JP, the eldest son of Henry Fok, is the President of the Hong Kong Football Association. He formerly represented the Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication functional constituency between 1998 and 2012. Loletta Chu (born 7 September 1958 in Mandalay, Myanmar) is a Chinese actress and beauty pageant titleholder. She was the winner of the 1977 Miss Hong Kong Pageant. Early life Chu was born in Mandalay, Myanmar, in 1958 into an ethnic Chinese family, with roots in Taishan, Guangdong, China. In 1968 she and her family moved to Hong Kong, where she attended St. Teresa School, Hong Kong International School and King George V School. "New World") is an affluent pedestrian zone, car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. Vincent Lo
Vincent Lo Hong-shui, GBM, GBS, JP (; born 18 April 1948) is the chairman of Hong Kong-based Shui On Group, a building-materials and construction firm. He graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1969. Upon returning to Hong Kong, started business with the sum of HK$100,000 (US$16,700) borrowed from his father, Hong Kong property tycoon Lo Ying-shek. In 1984, Lo began investing in Shanghai and built a hotel in partnership with the Shanghainese Communist Youth League. The 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre caused occupancy to plunge, and the league could not repay its construction loan. Lo assisted the league in dealing with the loan: Han Zheng was the Youth League secretary at the time, and is now mayor of Shanghai.
