Evan Henry Llewellyn
Colonel Evan Henry Llewellyn (25 February 1847 – 27 February 1914) was a British Army officer and a Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1885 and 1906. Llewellyn was the fourth son of Llewellyn Llewellyn of Buckland Filleigh, North Devon. He was educated at Rugby School. He was a J.P. and Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset. He served in the British Army, where he was an officer in the 4th (Militia) battalion of the Somersetshire Light Infantry. Following the outbreak of the Second Boer War in late 1899, he volunteered for active service when the battalion was embodied that December, and left Southampton for South Africa on the in early March 1900. Sam Llewellyn (born 1948) is a British author of literature for children and adults. Biography Sam Llewellyn was born on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, where his ancestors lived for many years. He grew up in Norfolk. He attended Eton College and later St Catherine's College, Oxford. Llewellyn went on to live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Ireland, before settling in Herefordshire, England, where he still lives. Sir Samuel Henry William Llewellyn (1 December 1858 – 28 January 1941) was a Welsh painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries who served as President of the Royal Academy from 1928 to 1938. He was awarded the Albert Medal by the Royal Society of Arts in 1933. Llewellyn was born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, in 1858. Herbert Arthur Llewellyn (5 February 1939 – 8 September 2016) was an English footballer. A centre-forward, he scored 114 goals in 239 league and cup appearances in a nine-year career in the Football League. He began his career at Everton in May 1956, and played eleven top-flight games before moving on to Crewe Alexandra in July 1958. He proved a prolific signing, hitting 51 goals in 96 league games, before he was sold on to Port Vale for a £7,000 fee in November 1960. He was sold to Northampton Town for £7,000 in February 1963, but soon found himself without a club after breaking his leg 11 minutes into his "Cobblers" debut.
