Llwyncelyn, Ceredigion
Lwyncelyn is a village in Ceredigion, Wales, situated on the A487 trunk road approximately southwest of the town of Aberaeron and northeast of the village of Llanarth. The village forms part of the community of Henfynyw with most of the village situated along the A487 trunk road and the unclassified road leading to the nearby hamlet of Oakford, Ceredigion (Derwen Gam). Location The Ceredigion coastline is miles away at the small shingle beach at Gilfach yr Halen. There are two small rivers running through Llwyncelyn. The Afon Cwinten to the North, and Avon Drywi to the South of the village. Amenities The village has a petrol station with a convenience store and post office situated on the northern side of the A487, an animal feed store, a small home furnishing store, a farm shop and restaurant as well as a small chapel with cemetery, a village hall and a small caravan and camping park as well as a second camping site. Llwyncelyn ( en, Hollybush) is a district of Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf. Consisting of five long terraces and two modern housing developments, Llwyncelyn has one shop and a parish church, St. Luke's Church. Llwyn-celyn Farmhouse, Llanvihangel Crucorney
Llwyn-celyn Farmhouse, Llanvihangel Crucorney, Monmouthshire is a farmhouse of late medieval origins. It is a Grade I listed building. History The original farmhouse is a late-medieval hall house of c.1420. In the late 17th century, both the hall, and the attached solar block were horizontally divided to create two-storeyed buildings. An outhouse, with what was originally a free-standing kitchen, was linked to the main block in the 19th century, when the farm was part of the Llanthony Priory estate and owned by the poet Walter Savage Landor. There were subsequently almost no alterations made to the building for over 100 years. By the early 21st century, the house was in a state of decay and, in 2014, ownership passed to the Landmark Trust. The Trust commenced a £4.5m restoration, which is largely complete as of November 2018. It consists of two blocks of alder woodland at and , about south-east of Denbigh and just north of the village of Llanrhaeadr. The site is on the floodplain of the Rivers Clywedog and Clwyd, and includes peat beds and swamps. It was notified in 1983 and 2001.
