Lloyd J. Williams (born 7 May 1940) is an Australian property developer and businessperson, with significant interests in thoroughbred horse racing. He holds the record as a thoroughbred owner to have won the Melbourne Cup on the most occasions, his most recent in 2020 with ''Twilight Payment''. Biography Williams was educated at Xavier College, Melbourne. He is the founder of Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex, established in 1994, located in Melbourne, Victoria. Crown is Australia's largest casino and one of the largest single casinos in the world. In 1999, Williams sold the majority of his interests to Publishing and Broadcasting Limited and other entities associated with the Packer family. Gwynfor Lloyd Williams (30 May 1925 – 18 July 2007) was a schoolmaster at Millfield School who played first-class cricket in a few matches for Somerset in 1955. Born at Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire and educated at Christ College, Brecon and Oxford University, where he represented the university at table tennis, Williams made a few appearances as a right-handed batsman for Glamorgan's Second XI in the Minor Counties in the early 1950s. In 1955, he played the three first-class matches at the Weston-super-Mare festival for Somerset, batting in the middle order for the matches with Surrey and Glamorgan and opening the batting against Hampshire. Lloyd Michael Williams is an American experimental filmmaker. He was born in 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island. Lloyd Williams (born 30 November 1989) is a Wales international rugby union player. A scrum-half, he plays club rugby for the Cardiff Rugby. He attended Cowbridge Comprehensive School and Ysgol Gyfun Bro Morgannwg and he is a fluent Welsh speaker. Club career Williams made his debut for Cardiff against Leinster on 7 March 2010. A senior figure in the Cardiff team, Williams has captained the side on numerous occasions, the first coming against Montpellier in 2015. Williams won the Challenge Cup in 2018, coming off the bench in the 31–30 comeback win over Gloucester in Bilbao. In 2019, Williams made his 200th appearance for Cardiff, captaining his team on the occasion, as they won 30–17 over the Cheetahs. Williams was named man of the match in Cardiff's record 35–0 victory over the Sharks in Durban.
