Lloyd Christie
Wesley Lloyd Christie (born 28 February 1962), who fought as Lloyd Christie, is a British former Boxing, boxer who was British light welterweight champion between 1987 and 1989 and also fought for the European title. Career Born in London, the brother of Errol Christie, Lloyd Christie was based in Wolverhampton, and was managed and trained in Birmingham by Paddy and Tommy Lynch. He began his professional career in January 1981 with a first-round knockout of Steve Tempro. By the end of February 1984 he had won only half of his 28 fights, with one draw against Terry Marsh (boxer), Terry Marsh (the only fight of Marsh's career that he didn't win). In May 1984 he fought for his first title—the BBBofC Midlands Area welterweight title—losing on points to Kostas Petrou. He won six of his next eight fights, losing only to African welterweight champion Judas Clottey and Clinton McKenzie, and in January 1987 challenged for Tony McKenzie's British light welterweight title. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. The first champion of this weight class was Pinky Mitchell in 1946, though he was only awarded his championship by a vote of the readers of the ''Boxing Blade'' magazine. Crisanto España
Crisanto España (born October 25, 1964 in Venezuela) is a former boxer who was the WBA welterweight champion of the world. España fought out of Belfast, Northern Ireland and turned pro in 1984 after accumulating a 54-10 amateur record. España impressively won his first 30 fights, including the WBA Welterweight Title with an upset TKO in the 8th round over Meldrick Taylor in 1992. He successfully defended the title twice before being stopped by Ike Quartey in the 11th round in 1994. España fought only once more, in Northern Ireland in 1995 and retired with a record of 31-1-0 with 25 KOs. He has two children named; Crisanto and Nico Espana. Roger Mayweather (April 24, 1961 – March 17, 2020) was an American boxing trainer and former professional boxer who competed from 1981 to 1999.
