Christopher Charles Lloyd (born April 30, 1982), better known by his stage name Lloyd Banks, is an American rapper. He began his career as a member of East Coast hip hop group G-Unit, alongside childhood friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo. After the group's 2003 release of their debut album, '' Beg for Mercy'', Banks released his first solo album, ''The Hunger for More'', in 2004, featuring the top ten hit single " On Fire". His second studio album, '' Rotten Apple'', was released in 2006. Banks left Interscope Records in 2009 and, along with the rest of G-Unit, signed with EMI the following year to distribute Banks third studio album ''The Hunger for More 2'', which was released in 2010. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. ''Rotten Apple'' is the second studio album by American rapper Lloyd Banks, released October 10, 2006 via G-Unit and Interscope. The title of the album is a play on the New York City nickname, "The Big Apple". The album cover also resembles the cover of the film, ''King of New York''. Background ''The Big Withdrawal'' was originally intended to be Lloyd Banks' second album. However, two women Banks had a ménage à trois with in 2005 leaked an unmastered copy of the album he had left at their home. The album was scrapped and soon after, Banks began working on ''Rotten Apple''. The album featured guest appearances from 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, Rakim, Scarface, Mobb Deep, 8 Ball, Keri Hilson and Musiq Soulchild. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Originally scheduled for a May 25, 2004 release, the album was ultimately released on June 29, 2004 as later planned.
