Rafael Llopis Paret (17 April 1933 – 24 March 2022), was a Spanish psychiatrist, essayist and translator, who specialized in fantasy and horror fiction. Biography He studied medicine at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. As a psychiatrist, he worked in various health centers in the Comunidad de Madrid until his retirement, in 1998. After his high school years he was interested in fantasy, that in the absence of publications in Castilian he read in French. With the English he had learnt in high school and a dictionary he began to read Sheridan Le Fanu, one of his favourite authors, and other writers of fantastic literature not available in French. José Llopis Corona
José 'Pepe' Llopis Corona (4 June 1918 – 29 January 2011) was a Spanish footballer who played as a left defender. Over the course of seven seasons he amassed La Liga totals of 150 games and 14 goals, namely with Real Madrid. Football career Born in Alicante, Valencian Community, Corona made his La Liga debuts with local Hércules CF, being relegated in his first year as a professional. In 1943 he signed with Real Madrid, going on to remain in the Spanish capital for five seasons, where he appeared in a total of 143 official games; a renowned tough defender, he was also a penalty kick specialist. Carlos Llopis
Carlos Llopis (20 January 1913 – 6 April 1970) was the shortened name used by the Spanish dramatist Carlos Fernández Montero Llopis. He wrote around 50 comedies almost all of which were staged in Madrid and theatres across Spain and Latin America. Biography Llopis was born in Madrid. His parents were actors. He came from the same generation as Miguel Mihura and Enrique Jardiel Poncela. Known for original insights and agile dialogues, the tone he cultivated was one of sophisticated bourgeois comedy. Rodolfo Llopis Ferrándiz (27 February 1895, Callosa d'En Sarrià, Alicante, Spain – 22 July 1983, Albi, France) was a Spanish socialist politician. He was the General Secretary of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party in exile from 1944 to 1972. In 1947 he succeeded José Giral as prime minister of the Spanish Republican government in exile.
