Llandudno F.C.
Llandudno Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl-droed Llandudno) is a Welsh association football, football club that currently play in the Cymru North. History Football in Llandudno dates back to 1878 when the club was originally known as Gloddaeth Rovers for around a decade. Gloddaeth Rovers were then replaced by Llandudno Swifts F.C., Llandudno Swifts as the towns' main club. Following the demise of Swifts in 1901, a new club, Llandudno Amateurs F.C., Llandudno Amateurs were formed. The club was formed for the purpose of providing activity for cricketers during their close season. A full international, Wales national football team, Wales v Ireland national football team (1882–1950), Ireland, was played on the "council field" in 1898. Llandudno were founder members of the Welsh National League (North) in 1921 and were champions in 1923 and League Cup winners in 1930. Maesdu Park
Maesdu Park (known aOPS WindArena for sponsorship reasons) is a multi-sport stadium in Llandudno, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home ground oJD Cymru North Leagueteam Llandudno F.C. The 2015–16 Welsh League Cup, 2016 Welsh League Cup final was held at the ground. History Maesdu Park was first opened in 1991, with the club moving from the town's Oval ground which had hosted football after Llandudno's previous ground was sold for use as an Asda store in the 1970s. Floodlights were added in 1994 and the following season the club constructed a small clubhouse and two small stands providing 130 seats. A new press box, changing rooms and new grandstands have since been completed. An artificial pitch was installed at the stadium in the summer of 2010. The League of Ireland First Division ( ga, Céad Roinn Sraith na hÉireann), also known as the SSE Airtricity League First Division, is the second level division in both the League of Ireland and the Republic of Ireland football league system. Denbigh (; cy, Dinbych; ) is a market town and a community in Denbighshire, Wales. Formerly, the county town, the Welsh name translates to "Little Fortress"; a reference to its historic castle. Denbigh lies near the Clwydian Hills. History Denbigh Castle, together with its town walls, was built in 1282 by order of King Edward I. The Burgess Gate, whose twin towers adorn the symbol on Denbigh's civic seal, was once the main entrance into the town. The first borough charter was granted to Denbigh in 1290, when the town was still contained within the old town walls. It was the centre of the Marcher Lordship of Denbigh.
