Llanbedrgoch
Llanbedrgoch () is a hamlet and post town, a mile south of the town of Benllech and west of Red Wharf Bay, on the island of Anglesey ( cy, Ynys MĂ´n), north Wales. The parish church is St Peter's Church, Llanbedrgoch, a Grade II* listed building that dates back to the 15th century. The historical settlements in the area have been subject of archaeological exploration. The village hosted the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 1999. Prior to the 2013 council elections, Llanbedrgoch was a single councillor ward to the Isle of Anglesey County Council, though following ''The Isle of Anglesey (Electoral Arrangements) Order 2012'' the ward was amalgamated into a new multi-councillor ward, Lligwy. St Peter's Church, Llanbedrgoch
St Peter's Church, Llanbedrgoch, is a small medieval parish church near the village of Llanbedrgoch in Anglesey, north Wales. The oldest parts of the building date from the 15th century; it was extended in the 17th century and restored twice in the 19th century. The doorway is decorated with carvings of two human heads, one wearing a mitre. The church contains a reading desk made from 15th-century bench ends, one carved with a mermaid holding a mirror and comb. The church is still used for worship by the Church in Wales, as of 2013, and is one of three in a group of parishes. It is a Grade II* listed building, a national designation given to "particularly important buildings of more than special interest", because of its "substantial medieval fabric". Kiri Pritchard-McLean
Kiri Louise Pritchard-McLean (born 1986) is a Welsh comedian and writer. She has performed for several consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and won five Chortle Awards. Career Pritchard-McLean is the director and writer for sketch group Gein's Family Giftshop who were nominated for Best Newcomer in 2014 for the Edinburgh Comedy Award. Gwyn Hughes Jones (born 25 October 1969) is a Welsh operatic tenor, best known for his leading roles in romantic Italian operatic repertoire. Lligwy is an electoral ward on the northeast coast of Anglesey, Wales. It includes the communities Moelfre, Llaneugrad, Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf (including the village of Benllech) and Pentraeth; and the electoral ward of Llanfihangel Tre'r Beirdd in the community of Llanddyfnan. Benllech (; ) is a large village on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales. It is in the community (Wales), community of Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf, which has a population of 3,382, making it the fourth largest settlement on the island of Anglesey. Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf
Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf () is a parish and community in Anglesey, Wales including the small seaside town of Benllech. The community population taken at the 2011 census was 3,382. Local buildings include the medieval St Mary's Church, where the 18th century poet Goronwy Owen once served as curate. The parish has five Scheduled Monuments, including two collections of hut circles and the stone remains of a dolmen type Neolithic burial mound, called the Pant-y-Saer Cromlech. The remains of a Viking Age settlement have also been found in the parish. The parish lies on an area of Carboniferous Limestone and supports a variety of wildlife, including red squirrels. The Isle Of Anglesey (Electoral Arrangements) Order 2012
The Isle of Anglesey electoral boundary changes in 2012 reduced the numbers of electoral wards to the Isle of Anglesey County Council from 40 to 11. This led to the postponement of local government elections in the county by 12 months. The changes were confirmed by the Isle of Anglesey (Electoral Arrangements) Order 2012 in October 2012. The changes were based on proposals by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales, after a review was ordered by the Welsh Government's Minister for Social Justice and Local Government, Carl Sargeant, in March 2012.
