''Living Under June'' is the second album by the Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden, released in 1994. "Could I Be Your Girl", " Insensitive" and "Good Mother" were all significant hits for Arden in Canada, with "Wonderdrug", "Unloved" and "Looking for It (Finding Heaven)" also becoming Canadian adult-contemporary hits. " Insensitive" was Arden's biggest hit internationally, entering the Top 40 in several countries, including Italy and the United States ( 12 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100). In the U.S., "Could I Be Your Girl" was also a minor adult contemporary chart hit (No. 33). Total worldwide sales for this album come to 1.3 million, with 600,000 Canadian, and 500,000 US. Jann Arden
Jann Arden (born Jann Arden Anne Richards; March 27, 1962) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actress. She is famous for her signature ballads, "Could I Be Your Girl" and "Insensitive (song), Insensitive", which is her biggest hit to date. Early life and education Jann Arden was born in Calgary and moved as a child to Springbank, Alberta, Springbank, Alberta, where she attended Springbank Community High School. Neil MacGonigill (born 1949, Bowden, Alberta) is a Calgary-based music promoter, manager and record label owner. The Hammond organ is an electric organ invented by Laurens Hammond and John M. Hanert and first manufactured in 1935. Multiple models have been produced, most of which use sliding drawbars to vary sounds. Until 1975, Hammond organs generated sound by creating an electric current from rotating a metal tonewheel near an electromagnetic pickup, and then strengthening the signal with an amplifier to drive a speaker cabinet. The organ is commonly used with the Leslie speaker. Around two million Hammond organs have been manufactured. The organ was originally marketed by the Hammond Organ Company to churches as a lower-cost alternative to the wind-driven pipe organ, or instead of a piano. The Rudolph Wurlitzer Company, usually referred to as simply Wurlitzer, is an American company started in Cincinnati in 1853 by German immigrant (Franz) Rudolph Wurlitzer. The company initially imported stringed, woodwind and brass instruments from Germany for resale in the United States. Wurlitzer enjoyed initial success, largely due to defense contracts to provide musical instruments to the U.S. military. In 1880, the company began manufacturing pianos and eventually relocated to North Tonawanda, New York. It quickly expanded to make band organs, orchestrions, player pianos and pipe or theatre organs popular in theatres during the days of silent movies. The Juno Awards of 1995, representing Canadian music industry achievements of the previous year, were awarded on 26 March 1995 in Hamilton, Ontario at a ceremony in the Copps Coliseum.
