''Live In Tokyo'' is the fifth live album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at Shiba Yubinchokin Hall, Tokyo, on January 24, 1985. The concert was part of a 5-day tour of Japan to support their recently released album, ''Couldn't Stand the Weather''. DVD release Multiple video recordings of the January 24th concert of the tour have been released., but the official DVD was released on January 27, 2007 by Quantum Leap Studios. The concert was originally released in 1985 on a Pioneer Laser Disc by Black Box, Inc. It included the encore "Testify/Third Stone From the Sun" and was 86 minutes long. Texas Flood
''Texas Flood'' is the debut studio album by the American blues rock band Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, released on June 13, 1983 by Epic Records. The album was named after a cover featured on the album, " Texas Flood", which was first recorded by blues singer Larry Davis in 1958. Produced by the band and recording engineer Richard Mullen, ''Texas Flood'' was recorded in the space of three days at Jackson Browne's personal recording studio in Los Angeles. Vaughan wrote six of the album's ten tracks. Two singles, "Love Struck Baby" and " Pride and Joy", were released from the album. A music video was made for "Love Struck Baby" and received regular rotation on MTV in 1983. ''Texas Flood'' was reissued in 1999 with five bonus tracks including an interview segment, studio outtake, and three live tracks recorded on September 23, 1983 at The Palace in Hollywood, California. "Lenny" is the tenth and final track on the first Stevie Ray Vaughan album ''Texas Flood''. The song is in 4/4 time and notated in the key of E flat major (but instruments are tuned down a half-step, therefore, the chordal structure is in E). Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble
Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career spanned only seven years, he is regarded as one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Born and raised in Dallas, Vaughan began playing guitar at age seven, initially inspired by his elder brother, Jimmie Vaughan. In 1972, he dropped out of high school and moved to Austin, where he began to gain a following after playing gigs on the local club circuit. Vaughan joined forces with Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on drums as Double Trouble in 1978 and established it as part of the Austin music scene; it soon became one of the most popular acts in Texas. Bob Geddins
Robert L. Geddins (February 6, 1913 – February 16, 1991) was an American San Francisco Bay Area blues and rhythm and blues musician and record producer. Geddins was born in Highbank, Texas, United States, a town ten miles south of Marlin, who came to Oakland, California during World War II, and worked there until his death of liver cancer in 1991, ten days after his 78th birthday. Record labels and artists produced From 1948 onwards, he founded and owned numerous small independent record labels, including Art-Tone, Big Town, Cavatone, Down Town, Irma, Plaid, Rhythm, and Veltone.
