Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter is an American Christian metal band from Seattle, Washington, started in 2000 by brothers Don Clark and Ryan Clark. Although the brothers created the band together, only Ryan remains, since Don left the band to take care of his family. As of early 2010, the band has sold over half a million albums. The band's style is known for combining nu metal sounds and qualities with ones heard in metalcore. The name references historic and folkloric demon hunters. History 2000s Demon Hunter was initially conceived as a project band by the Clarks, who had played together previously in the initially Coalesce and Neurosis influenced but later more experimental band Training for Utopia. Ryan had previously played guitar in hardcore band Focal Point, who released an album on Tooth & Nail/Solid State when Ryan was still in his teens. Rocketown
Rocketown is a facility with entertainment space, a coffee bar, and indoor skate park, located in Nashville, Tennessee. First opening in Franklin, TN in 1994-95 by Christian artist Michael W. Smith, Rocketown was created as a safe, drug and alcohol free place for teenagers to hang out. After closing its building for a brief period, it re-opened in 2003 in downtown Nashville. Rocketown features after-school classes, skateboarding, video games, and concerts. The concerts are open to patrons of all ages. Its focus is to be a safe all-ages venue that also provides after-school activities such as recording, film editing, art, dance, and much more. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. 45 Days
''45 Days'' is a documentary film about Christian metalcore band Demon Hunter. The three-disc set, two DVDs and one CD, was released on November 25, 2008. The DVDs of the release consist of a 90-minute documentary on the band, including touring and in depth interviews on the first disc, and an entire live concert on the second disc. The live set was recorded at Rockettown in Nashville, TN on June 26, 2008 during the band's "Stronger Than Hell" tour alongside Living Sacrifice. The included CD will be the music that serves as a soundtrack to the documentary.
