Live At Sweden Rock Festival
''Live at Sweden Rock Festival'' was the second live album by Swedish hard rock band Talisman released on Empire Records in October 2002. It charted at number 18 the first week in Sweden. When Jeff Scott Soto, Marcel Jacob and Pontus Norgren were in Stockholm, Sweden laying vocals for their new band called '' Humanimal'', they decided to perform at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, thanks to dj Dr. Rock from the Swedish Radio Rock Klassiker who persuaded the guys to perform it. They played at the Rockklassiker stage with a 2000 crowd capacity. Two nights before the festival gig, Talisman played in Stockholm. Because of a miscommunication between Jamie, Pontus, Marcel and the guys doing the mobile recording stuff, Marcel's entire gear (bass included!) was left at the venue in Stockholm instead of travelling with everybody else’s gear down to Sölvesborg, south of Sweden, where the Sweden Rock Festival takes place. Talisman (band)
Talisman was a Swedish hard rock band. Founded in 1989 by the songwriting bassist Marcel Jacob and fronted by the American singer Jeff Scott Soto, the band released seven studio albums from 1990 to 2006, before going on a farewell tour in 2007. While mainly described as hard rock and heavy metal, the band's sound had also been influenced by a variety of genres outside the rock music scope, such as rhythm and blues, soul, and funk in particular. After Marcel Jacob died in 2009, Talisman has reunited three times for one-off festival shows held in 2014, 2016, and 2017 with Johan Niemann filling in on bass. In 2019, to mark a ten-year anniversary of Marcel Jacob's passing, Talisman reunited once again to record and release a commemorative song "Never Die". Tie Your Mother Down
"Tie Your Mother Down" is a song by the British rock band Queen, written by lead guitarist Brian May. It is the opening track and the second single from their 1976 album '' A Day at the Races''. On its original release as a single in 1977 the song peaked at 31 in the UK Singles Chart. More than 20 years later, it was released as a double a-side to " No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)" where it reached 13 in UK Singles Chart. On the album the song is preceded by a one-minute instrumental intro featuring a Shepard tone melody, performed by Brian May, which is reprised in the ending of " Teo Torriatte": this was intended to create a "circle" within the album. Jamie Borger
Jamie Borger (born 28 May 1964) is a Swedish drummer who has played in the bands Talisman, Treat and Last Autumn's Dream. Over the years, he also has recorded with Alfonzetti, Adam Thompson, Baltimore, Human Clay, Swedish Erotica and Jeff Scott Soto. He also be involved several unreleased groups like The Three Kings with Jeff Scott Soto and Swedish guitar player Goran Elmquist. A couple of their demos ("As I Do To You" and "This Ain't the Love") were used by Jeff Scott Soto on his ''Believe in Me'' E.P. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Pontus Norgren
Karl Pontus Norgren (born 22 April 1968) is the current guitarist of the Swedish power metal band HammerFall and formerly played guitar for The Poodles. Biography Norgren replaced former HammerFall guitarist Stefan Elmgren, who decided to focus on his career as a pilot. Norgren was contacted by Joacim Cans, HammerFall's singer, who asked him if he knew a good guitarist. Being a fan of HammerFall's music and desiring to play a heavier style of music than that of The Poodles, Norgren suggested himself. HammerFall asserts that they are happy with Norgren as a guitarist and band member. Norgren previously played with bands including Great King Rat, Talisman, Humanimal, The Ring, and Zan Clan. He also served as live sound engineer for Thin Lizzy during the band's 2000 tour, similarly serving Europe and Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Jeff Scott Soto (born November 4, 1965) is an American rock singer of Puerto Rican descent. He is best known for being the vocalist on Yngwie Malmsteen's first two albums, and (briefly) the lead vocalist for Journey in 2006–2007. Soto also sang lead vocals in the banEyes He also had a long tenure as the front man of hard rock band Talisman. Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel (born 19 February 1963), known professionally as Seal, is a British singer. He has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
