Live At River Plate (album)
''Live at River Plate'' is a live album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released on 19 November 2012. The album was recorded during AC/DC's ''Black Ice World Tour'' on 4 December 2009 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. Video footage from the same concert was previously officially released in May 2011 on DVD and Blu-ray as ''Live at River Plate''. This is the band's final live album to feature original rhythm guitarist and co-founder Malcolm Young before his retirement in 2014 due to his health and death in 2017. Critical and commercial response The album received mixed to positive reviews from publications such as Allmusic, for which Stephen Thomas Erlewine stated that while the band's vocalist, "Brian Johnson sounds a little worse for wear" still "the brothers Young, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd remain as solid as a boulder". AC/DC
AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian Rock music, rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm Young, Malcolm and Angus Young. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and Heavy metal music, heavy metal, but the band calls it simply "rock and roll". AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, 1975's ''High Voltage (1975 album), High Voltage''. "Back in Black" is a song by Australian rock band AC/DC. It was released as the second US single from their seventh album of the same name in 1980 through Atlantic Records. It is notable for its opening guitar riff. The song was written as a tribute to their former singer Bon Scott, who died in February 1980. In 1981, it reached number 37 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) was an Australian singer and songwriter. He was the lead vocalist and lyricist of the hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980. Born in Forfar in Angus, Scotland, Scott spent his early years in Kirriemuir. He moved to Australia with his family in 1952 at the age of six, living in Melbourne for four years before settling in Fremantle, Western Australia. Angus McKinnon Young (born 31 March 1955) is an Australian musician, best known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, songwriter, and only remaining original member of the hard rock band AC/DC. He is known for his energetic performances, schoolboy-uniform stage outfits and his own version of Chuck Berry's duckwalk.
