Live At Budokan (Ozzy Osbourne Album)
''Live at Budokan'' is a CD/DVD combination released by heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne on 25 June 2002. It was recorded at the Nippon Budokan on 15 February 2002 in Tokyo, Japan. The DVD is largely shot in widescreen, except for the drum cam behind Mike Bordin that is pointed towards the audience, which is shot in 4:3. The picture format is standard 4:3 aspect, with letterboxing for all of the widescreen shots. The DVD also contains bonus The Osbournes styled features. Also, the DVD features the song "Suicide Solution" and Zakk Wylde's accompanying guitar solo. Running in excess of 13 minutes, this track was cut from the CD version because of time restraints. Ozzy Osbourne
John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness". Born and raised in Birmingham, Osbourne became a founding member of Black Sabbath in 1967, and sang on every album from their debut in 1970 to ''Never Say Die!'' in 1978. The band was highly influential on the development of heavy metal music, in particular their critically acclaimed releases ''Paranoid'', ''Master of Reality'' and ''Sabbath Bloody Sabbath''. Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but went on to have a successful solo career, releasing 13 studio albums, the first seven of which received multi-platinum certifications in the US. Joe Holmes
Joe Holmes (born June 11, 1963) is an American heavy metal guitarist best known for his stint with Ozzy Osbourne between 1995 and 2001. He has also played with Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth and the L.A. band Lizzy Borden in addition to leading his own bands, Terriff, and currently, Farmikos. Biography Born in New Jersey and raised in Los Angeles, Holmes took lessons from guitarist Randy Rhoads in 1979. Holmes formed Terriff in 1983 but left to join Lizzy Borden in 1987, appearing on the ''Visual Lies'' album. He left Lizzy Borden in 1988 and reformed Terriff, staying with the latter group until 1990. David Lee Roth Holmes then joined David Lee Roth's band for a tour in 1991, replacing Jason Becker who was diagnosed with ALS while recording the album ''A Little Ain't Enough''. Back in L.A., Holmes once again re-activated Terriff trying out and rehearsing with different singers, including former Badlands vocalist Ray Gillen. Bark At The Moon (song)
"Bark at the Moon" is a song by heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. It was the first single released from his 1983 album of the same name. The music video produced for the song was Osbourne's first. It peaked at #21 on the UK Singles Chart and #12 on ''Billboard''s Album Rock Tracks. The song has received critical praise, frequently being voted one of Ozzy's best songs. Overview Writing Though officially credited solely to Osbourne, "Bark at the Moon" was co-written with guitarist Jake E. Lee and bassist/lyricist Bob Daisley. Daisley has stated that he accepted a buyout from Osbourne in exchange for all writing credits on the album. Lee, however, claims he was threatened with firing by Osbourne's wife and manager Sharon if he refused to sign a 1983 contract stating that he would relinquish his claims to writing and publishing.
