Underdog (Kasabian Song)
"Underdog" is the third single released from the album ''West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'' by English band Kasabian. It peaked at number 32 in the UK Singles Chart on the week after the album's release. Despite this, it became a widely popular song. Popular culture use "Underdog" was used in the credits of the 2010 film ''Takers''. Snooker player Mark Selby has used "Underdog" as his walk-on music. "Underdog" is currently used as the run out music by English League One football teams Colchester United and Peterborough United, until Dave Robertson took over in February 2015, with the first match without "Underdog" being played a 2–0 win over Bradford City. Kasabian Albums
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and occasional vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff, and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021. Meighan left the band in July 2020, with Pizzorno stepping up as full-time lead vocalist. In 2010 and 2014, Kasabian won the Q Awards for "Best Act in the World Today", while they were also named "Best Live Act" at the 2014 Q Awards and the 2007 and 2018 NME Awards. The band's music is often described as "indie rock", but Pizzorno has said he "hates indie bands" and does not feel Kasabian fit into that category. "Fire" is a song by English rock band Kasabian and is the lead single from their third album, ''West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum''. It was released 1 June 2009. On the week of its release, it debuted at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart, making it their first UK top-three entry and their highest-charting single to date as well as their fourth UK top-ten single. "Fire" also debuted at number one in Scotland, becoming Kasabian's highest-charting single there as well. On the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, it debuted at number 44 peaked at number 41. Goodbye Kiss
"Goodbye Kiss" is the third single of Kasabian's from their fourth studio album, ''Velociraptor!'' (2011). It was released first as a music video and then as a single A-side 10" vinyl on 20 February 2012. It is available as a digital download. On 27 November 2011, Kasabian performed "Goodbye Kiss" during the BBC's Formula 1 and performed on 2011 closing season montage and on BBC's ''The Graham Norton Show''. Music video Regarding the video release, the band have left the following message along on their official website: "Shot in no-nonsense, classic black and white, it captures the band live on stage during their massive gigs at London's O2.". Fast Fuse
''Fast Fuse'' is an EP by rock band Kasabian and was released to a select market on 2 October 2007. The track "Take Aim" was slated for inclusion on the EP but was eventually omitted. All three tracks went on to be included on their third studio album, ''West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum''. Welsh rock band FastFuse aka fruit flies (with bassist Mitchell) took name and inspiration from the title of this EP. Track listing # "Fast Fuse" – 4:06 # "Thick as Thieves" – 3:07 Fast Fuse was also featured in FIFA 09, due to the early-released EP, which came out before the album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. "Empire" is a song by English rock band Kasabian, included as the title track for their second studio album, ''Empire'' (2006). It was released 24 July 2006 as the lead single from that album on CD. The single became popular immediately, entering the UK Singles Chart at number nine, its peak position, making it the band's third UK top-ten single. On 21 August 2006, 10-inch and DVD versions of the single were released. Re-Wired
"Re-Wired" is the second single from Kasabian's fourth album, ''Velociraptor!''. First released digitally, the single has also been released as a limited 10 inch vinyl on 20 November 2011. Only 1,000 copies were made and were quickly sold out in 3 days through pre-orders. A part of the song was used at half time in live Premier League football matches on Sky Sports during the 2011/2012 season, when a small round up of incidents during the match was played before a commercial break. Music video The band have released a video for the song, in which they drive various cars, being chased by a black 4x4. "Club Foot" is a song by English indie rock band Kasabian, featured on their 2004 debut album, ''Kasabian''. It was released on 10 May 2004 in the UK. The video of this song, directed by W.I.Z., is dedicated to Czech student Jan Palach who in 1969 set himself on fire in protest against renewed Soviet suppression of Czechoslovakia. The video also refers to the Soviet government's intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 on a banner showing the text in Hungarian (''Szabad Európa Rádió''), which translates as "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty". "Shoot the Runner" is a song by English rock band Kasabian and is the second track on their second album, ''Empire''. It was released 6 November 2006 as the second single from that album in the United Kingdom, peaking at #17 in the UK Singles Chart. Composition The song is in 4/4 swing time and is the band's first song to feature both Tom Meighan and Sergio Pizzorno on lead vocals.
