Liudmila Samsonova
Liudmila Dmitriyevna Samsonova ( rus, Людмила Дмитриевна Самсонова, , lʲʊdˈmʲiɫə sɐmˈsonəvə; born 11 November 1998) is a Russian tennis player. She also competed for Italy, from 2014 to 2018. Samsonova has a career-high WTA rankings, singles ranking of world No. 19. She won her first WTA Tour title at the 2021 WTA German Open – Singles, 2021 German Open, a WTA 500, WTA 500 title, and has overall won four singles titles on the WTA Tour. She has also won a total of six titles on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, ITF Circuit. At the 2020–21 Billie Jean King Cup, Samsonova led the Russia Billie Jean King Cup team, Russian team to their first triumph since 2008, winning all five of her matches in both singles and doubles. WTA Rankings
The WTA rankings are the ratings defined by the Women's Tennis Association, introduced in November 1975. Iga Świątek is the current world No. 1. Ranking method The WTA rankings are based on a rolling 52-week, cumulative system. A player's ranking is determined by her results at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles and points are awarded based on how far a player advances in a tournament. The basis for calculating a player's ranking are those tournaments that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period with the condition that they must include points from the 4 Grand Slams, the 4 Premier Mandatory tournaments and the WTA Finals. In addition, for Top 20 players, their best two results at Premier 5 tournaments will also count. Riccardo Piatti (born 8 November 1958) is an Italian tennis coach. He has coached several players ranked within the top 10 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), including Novak Djokovic, Ivan Ljubičić, Richard Gasquet, Milos Raonic, and Jannik Sinner. Early life Piatti began playing tennis at the age of nine at the tennis club of Villa d'Este in Cernobbio, Lombardia, Italy. The idea of becoming a tennis coach first occurred to him at age 20 when the head coach of the Villa d'Este Country Club got injured, and Piatti was asked to replace him. Russia Billie Jean King Cup Team
The Russia women's national tennis team represented Russia in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Russian Tennis Federation. They compete in the World Group. The ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, previously known as the ITF Women's Circuit, is a series of professional tennis tournaments run by the International Tennis Federation for female professional tennis players.
