Little Steven's Underground Garage
''Underground Garage'' is the name shared by two related but different radio outlets, a syndicated show and a satellite radio station, both created and supervised by American musician Steven Van Zandt (best known as a guitarist in Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band) to present rock 'n' roll and garage rock on radio. Both outlets play a mixture of garage rock both old and new, and the music which influenced today's garage rock. On both the Sirius XM channel and on the syndicated show, one song is regularly proclaimed as "The Coolest Song in the World This Week." The Friggs
The Friggs were a garage rock band from Camden, New Jersey active from 1990 to 2000. Its original members were Palmyra Delran (guitar) and Jezebel (singer/songwriter), the latter of whom was later replaced by Lexi Plumm. History The band played its first show in Philadelphia on New Year's Eve 1991/1992, and released their first single, a cover of The Troggs' "Come Now," in 1991, before playing any live shows. This was followed by several more singles and an EP, ''America's Only Rock & Roll Magazine Parody''. The cover of this 1994 EP, which was produced by Ben Vaughn, closely mimicked the cover of an old issue of ''Creem''. Late that year, Jezebel left the band, whereupon she was replaced by Lexi Plumm. Delran decided to hire Plumm after she was impressed by the sound of motorcycles on her answering machine. The band released their only album, ''Rock Candy'', in 1997 on E-Vil Records. Chris Paul Carter (born September 2, 1959) is an American disc jockey and music/film producer based in Los Angeles. Carter started his music career as a founding member and bass player with alternative rock/power pop band Dramarama. After Dramarama originally split in 1994, Carter formed QM Management to manage the pop group Wondermints. Genya Ravan
Genya Ravan, a.k.a. Goldie (born Genyusha Zelkovicz; April 19, 1940) is an American rock singer and music producer. She was lead singer of The Escorts, Goldie and the Gingerbreads, and Ten Wheel Drive. Life and career Childhood Ravan was born in Łódź, Poland in 1940 and emigrated to the United States in 1947, accompanied by her parents and one sister. They were her only family members who had survived the Nazi Holocaust in Europe; she also had two brothers, who both died. The family did not speak any English when they arrived. Lawrence James Travagliante—better known by his on-air moniker Kid Leo—serves as both General Manager and afternoon disc jockey on Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius XM Radio (channel 21). He first began in radio in 1973 at noted Cleveland rock station WMMS (100.7  FM, "The Buzzard"). Ko Melina, also known as Ko Shih and Ko Melina-Zydeco, is a musician and radio DJ from Detroit, Detroit, Michigan.
