Little Rock Southwest High School
Little Rock Southwest High School, also known as Little Rock Southwest Magnet High School, is a public high school in southwest Little Rock, Arkansas. Groundbreaking occurred in 2017. It replaced J. A. Fair Systems Magnet High School and McClellan Magnet High School. Additionally it took over the attendance area for Hall High School, which was converted into Hall STEAM Magnet High School, a magnet only school. It has of space. There are 65 classrooms, with each having of space. It opened as scheduled in 2020. It had 1,930 students in September 2020. Arkansas
Arkansas ( ) is a landlocked state in the South Central United States. Little Rock School District
The Little Rock School District is a school district in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It is one of four public school districts in Pulaski County and encompasses of land nearly coterminous with the state's capital and largest city. In addition to most of Little Rock it serves Cammack Village. The district however does not include the Pulaski County section of Alexander, as that is an exclave of the Pulaski County Special School District. From its establishment in 1869 until 1886 it was known as the School District of Little Rock, and then from that year to 1963 it was known as the Special School District of Little Rock. McClellan Magnet High School
John L. McClellan High School was a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas. McClellan served students in grades nine through twelve and was part of the Little Rock School District from 1987 to 2020 and part of the Pulaski County Special School District before joining the Little Rock School District. It closed when Little Rock Southwest High School opened. History It opened in 1965 as a part of the Pulaski County district; it replaced Mabelvale High School. KUAR (89.1 MHz "FM 89") is a public radio station in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a network affiliate of National Public Radio (NPR) and is licensed to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Hall STEAM Magnet High School, formerly Hall High School, is an accredited public high school located in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. It is a part of the Little Rock School District (LRSD). Prior to its conversion to an all magnet school in 2020, Hall was one of five comprehensive four-year public high schools in the LRSD enrolling students in grades nine through twelve.
