''Little Robbers'' is the RIAA Gold-certified fourth studio album by new wave band the Motels. It was recorded between February and August 1983 and released on September 16 of that year. The Motels are an American new wave band from Berkeley, California, that is best known for the singles "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer", each of which peaked at No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, in 1982 and 1983, respectively. In 1980, The Motels song " Total Control" reached No. 7 on the Australian chart (for two weeks), and their song "Danger" reached No. 15 on the French chart. Martha Davis, the lead singer, reformed a version of the band called "The Motels featuring Martha Davis" in 1998 and toured under that name with various line-ups of musicians. In 2013, the band was re-christened with a permanent name, Martha Davis and The Motels. That band is touring the world with a line-up of musicians that have been playing with Davis for over 10 years, longer than the original Motels. Scott Troy Thurston (born January 10, 1952) is an American guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and session musician. He was a member of the Stooges, and of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, in which he sang harmony vocals and played guitar, bass, keyboards, and harmonica. Musical career Raised in Medford, Oregon, Thurston started out as a session musician. Robert "Waddy" Wachtel (born May 24, 1947) is an American musician, composer and record producer, most notable for his guitar work. Wachtel has worked as session musician for other artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Kim Carnes, Randy Newman, Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones (lead guitar on "Saint of Me"), Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Iggy Pop, Warren Zevon, Bryan Ferry, Michael Sweet, Jackson Browne, and Andrew Gold, both in the studio and live. Craig Krampf
Craig Krampf (born October 22, 1954) is an American drummer, percussionist, arranger, record producer and songwriter. The majority of his notable credits are as a studio drummer. Since the 1970s, he has played on albums by other artists ranging from Steve Perry to Alabama to Kim Carnes to Flo & Eddie to Alice Cooper to Melissa Etheridge. Additionally, Krampf and Perry were founding members of the short-lived rock group Alien Project. As a songwriter, his biggest hit was with Steve Perry's "Oh Sherrie" (co-written with Perry, Randy Goodrum, and Bill Cuomo), which peaked at #3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Besides "Oh Sherrie," Krampf co-wrote three other songs on Perry's ''Street Talk'' album, including "Strung Out", which made it to #40 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Brian Glascock
Brian Glascock (born 17 July 1948) is an English rock drummer for The Gods, Toe Fat, Carmen, Captain Beyond, Soy Cowboy, and primarily for The Motels. He also played on albums by Dolly Parton, Iggy Pop, and Joan Armatrading. He performed in a music video with Nancy Wilson of Heart. He has also performed much session work including The Bee Gees track "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart", along with fellow Juniors guitarist Alan Kendall. He was also the drummer for The Kids of Widney High and played on their second album, "Let's Get Busy." He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, where he worked for a time as a photo technician and, since 2006, has performed music regularly with various musical combos including 30 Second Crash, Meat Raffle Road, and Sheely Dan, which also featured his wife, Kathy Glascock and the late Loren Walsted, former guitarist of the Underbeats. Liner notes (also sleeve notes or album notes) are the writings found on the sleeves of LP record albums and in booklets that come inserted into the compact disc jewel case or the equivalent packaging for cassettes. The Official New Zealand Top 40
''The Official NZ Top 40'' was a NZ made music countdown television show which is a countdown of the New Zealand Singles Chart music. It uses the official chart produced by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand. While the RIANZ charts are published for the week ending Monday, and published on Tuesday, The Official NZ Top 40 shows on Saturday evenings usually at 6pm unless changed due to other events. The Official NZ Top 40 is also replayed on C4 again on Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm which is an extended version of the show. The only change is the show will start showing most videos in full if applicable. Format All of the 40 singles in the chart are named, with excerpts of their music videos (if they have them).
