Little Oakley Football Club is a football club based in Little Oakley, Essex, England. They are currently members of the and play at the Memorial Ground. History Despite evidence of a football club in Little Oakley prior to World War I, the club were founded in 1947 as Little Oakley War Memorial. In 1974, the club changed their name to the current guise of Little Oakley. The club was promoted as champions of the Essex and Suffolk Border League in 2017, joining the Eastern Counties League. The Essex Senior Football League is an English men's football league. It contains clubs from the Essex FA, Hertfordshire FA, London FA, Middlesex FA and the Amateur Football Alliance. The 2019–20 Eastern Counties Football League, also known as the Thurlow Nunn League for sponsorship reasons, was the 77th season in the history of Eastern Counties Football League, a football competition in England. The 2020–21 season was the 78th season in the history of the Eastern Counties Football League, a football competition in England. Teams were divided into three divisions, the Premier Division at Step 5, and the geographically separated Division One North and Division One South, both at Step 6 of the English football league system. The allocations for Steps 5 and 6 for season 2020–21 were announced by the FA on 21 July, and were subject to appeal.
