Supertones Strike Back
''Supertones Strike Back'' is the second studio album released by the O.C. Supertones. One reviewer described the album as a "no-hold-barred modern day revival meeting". Compared to the bands' debut, this release features a refined sound. Attributed to experience and having spent almost three months on production, vocalist Matt Morginsky joked that "we play in tempo and in tune on this one!" The music contains harder guitars and begins to show diverse influences, like surf and R&B. Reception The ''Los Angeles Times'' described the album as passionate, saying that "what they offer, in song after ska-punk song, is complete, full-hearted conviction". Going on to say that the album stood as an example and reproach to the trendy but superficial Orange County ska movement. John DiBiase of Jesus Freak Hideout described the album as more aggressive than their previous album, with louder and harder guitar and moody vocals; praising it as one of the best ska albums available. It was founded in 1865 as ''The Daily Dramatic Chronicle'' by teenage brothers Charles de Young and M. H. de Young, Michael H. de Young. The paper is owned by the Hearst Corporation, which bought it from the de Young family in 2000. It is the only major daily paper covering the city and county of San Francisco. The paper benefited from the growth of San Francisco and had the largest newspaper circulation on the West Coast of the United States by 1880. Like other newspapers, it experienced a rapid fall in circulation in the early 21st century and was ranked 18th nationally by circulation in the first quarter of 2021. In 1994, the newspaper launched the SFGATE website, with a soft launch in March and official launch November 3, 1994, including both content from the newspaper and other sources. Skiddaw Little Man
Skiddaw Little Man also called Little Man is a fell in the English Lake District, it is situated four kilometres north of the town of Keswick and reaches a height of 865 m (2,837 ft). Topography Little Man is often overlooked and disregarded as an independent and distinct fell due to its name which makes it sound like a minor top of its parent fell Skiddaw which in fact lies 1.5 kilometres to the north west. With a topographical prominence of 61 metres, Little Man qualifies comfortably as a Hewitt and Nuttall hill and is regarded as a separate fell by renowned mountain writers Alfred Wainwright and Bill Birkett. The fell is actually called Little Man on Ordnance Survey maps and by many guide books. To the north and east Little Man is connected to the Skiddaw massif, Lonscale Fell being the nearest separate fell to the east, 2.5 kilometres away. To the south and the west the fell falls away steeply with fast flowing streams draining the fell into the River Derwent. ...

Homunculus
A homunculus ( , , ; "little person") is a representation of a small human being, originally depicted as small statues made out of clay. Popularized in sixteenth-century alchemy and nineteenth-century fiction, it has historically referred to the creation of a miniature, fully formed human. The concept has roots in preformationism as well as earlier folklore and alchemic traditions. The term lends its name to the cortical homunculus, an image of a person with the size of the body parts distorted to represent how much area of the cerebral cortex of the brain is devoted to it. History Alchemy The homunculus first appears by name in alchemical writings attributed to Paracelsus (1493–1541). ''De natura rerum'' (1537) outlines his method for creating homunculi: Comparisons have been made with several similar concepts in the writings of earlier alchemists. Although the actual word "homunculus" was never used, Carl Jung believed that the concept first appeared in the ''Visions of ...

Little Man (Cheyenne Arrow Keeper)
Little Man was an American tribal leader of Cheyenne ancestry. Little Man was the son of Stone Forehead's sister and thus the cousin of Black Hairy Dog. At the latter's death, circa.1883, Little Man succeeded him as Keeper. His father Turtle Following His Wife and his mother Running Face along with his brother White Beaver. Like his family of the arrows he too possessed Spirit Lodge power to an unusual degree. Little Man, Keeper of the Arrows reigned during a time when the Cheyenne was in build. He was considered a traditionalist, and opposed the Indian Agent on a regular basis. In 1901, the agent threatened to cut off rations if Little Man did not send the children to the Indian schools. In 1914, Little Man attempted to turn the Keeper's responsibility over to Old Crow. The transfer was refused by the Chiefs, the Arrow priest and the leaders of the military societies. They held fast to Sweet Medicine's rule that the Arrow Keeper must be Tsistsistas, but on request Little Man p ...

The Pineapple Thief
The Pineapple Thief are a British progressive rock band, started by Bruce Soord in 1999 in Somerset, England. History Early years Founder Bruce Soord started The Pineapple Thief as an outlet for his music back in 1999. Soord released the debut ''Abducting the Unicorn'' on Cyclops Records, which created enough interest to establish a small but loyal fan base. Soord returned to the Dining Room studios to work on the second album ''137''. During this time, several major labels started to take an interest, causing a delay in the release which arrived over two years after the debut. However, it was debatably the third album, ''Variations on a Dream'' that gave the band the boost it needed, reaching out to yet more people all over the world, by which point they were consistently the top sellers on their label, Cyclops. After this release in the spring of 2002 Bruce decided to form a band to take his music to the fans. The band consisted of his close musical friends – former u ...
