''L'emigrante'', internationally released as ''Little Funny Guy'', is a 1973 Italian comedy film directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile. Plot At the end of 1900s Saturnino Cavallo leaves his family to emigrate to America, in search of fortune, but his traces were lost. In Naples during the 1920s, his son Peppino Cavallo (Adriano Celentano), grown up, wakes up every night thinking of his father, with such insistence that he eventually decides to go look for him in America. Pasquale Festa Campanile (28 July 1927 – 25 February 1986) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and novelist, best known as a prominent exponent of the commedia all'italiana genre. Life and career Born at Melfi, in the province of Potenza, he moved to Rome at young age. He started as a writer and literary critic. ''La nonna Sabella'', one of his novels, was later adapted by Dino Risi into the movie of the same name, internationally known as ''Oh! Sabella'' (1957). He began his cinema career as a screenwriter with ''Faddija – La legge della vendetta'' (1949) by Roberto Bianchi Montero and later co-produced masterpieces of Italian cinema such as ''Poveri ma belli'' (1957) by Risi and ''Rocco and His Brothers'' (1960) and ''The Leopard (1963 film), The Leopard'' (1963) by Luchino Visconti. Gigi Reder (born Luigi Schroeder; 25 March 1928 – 8 October 1998) was an Italian actor and voice actor. He was best known for the role of Filini in the ''Fantozzi'' film series. Biography Born in Naples in to a German father and a Neapolitan mother, Reder moved to Rome where started his career in radio as host and actor of radio-dramas. Herbert Fux
Herbert Fux (25 March 1927 – 13 March 2007) was an Austrian film actor and politician. He appeared in more than 140 films between 1960 and 2007. Life Fux was born in Hallein, at the age of five he moved with his family to the city of Salzburg, where his stepfather worked as a board member of the Landestheater. Having passed his matura exams under the circumstances of late World War II in 1944, he studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum University and began a career as a theatre actor. From the 1960s, Fux appeared on the screen, later also on television, often performing as villain in numerous B movies and crime films but also Spaghetti Westerns and even Bavarian porn films.
