''Little Bit of Everything'' is the third studio album by American country music singer Billy Currington. It was released on October 14, 2008 via Universal Music Group Nashville, Mercury Nashville. Its lead-off single, "Don't (Billy Currington song), Don't", became his sixth Top 10 hit on the U.S. ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart. Before that song, Currington released a song in late 2007 called "Tangled Up", which peaked at number 30 and was not included on an album. "People Are Crazy" was released as the second single in March 2009 and became Currington's third number one hit in August 2009. The third single, "That's How Country Boys Roll," was released in September 2009 and became his fourth Number One single in March 2010. The album has sold over 500,000 copies as of October 2010. William Matthew Currington (born November 19, 1973) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Mercury Records Nashville in 2003, he has released seven studio albums for the label: his self-titled debut (2003), '' Doin' Somethin' Right'' (2005), '' Little Bit of Everything'' (2008), '' Enjoy Yourself'' (2010), '' We Are Tonight'' (2013), ''Summer Forever'' (2015), and ''Intuition'' (2021). The lap steel guitar, also known as a Hawaiian guitar, is a type of steel guitar without pedals that is typically played with the instrument in a horizontal position across the performer's lap. Unlike the usual manner of playing a traditional acoustic guitar, in which the performer's fingertips press the strings against frets, the pitch of a steel guitar is changed by pressing a polished steel bar against plucked strings (from which the name "steel guitar" derives). A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. Paul Franklin (musician)
Paul V. Franklin (born May 31, 1954) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known mainly for his work as a steel guitarist. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of Barbara Mandrell's road band; in addition he toured with Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed and Dire Straits. He has since become a prolific session musician in Nashville, playing on more than 500 albums. He has been named by the Academy of Country Music as Best Steel Guitarist on several occasions. He was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2019. Walter Scott Emerick (born July 11, 1973, in Hollywood, Florida) is an American country music artist, known primarily for his work with Toby Keith. In addition to penning several of Keith's singles, Emerick has also written for Sawyer Brown, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and several other artists.
