''Little Accidents'' is a 2014 American drama film directed and written by Sara Colangelo, based on her own 2010 award-winning short film of same name. Sara Colangelo
Sara Colangelo is an American film director and screenwriter known for her films ''Little Accidents'' and ''Worth (film), Worth''. ''Filmmaker Magazine'' named her one of its "25 New Faces of Independent Film" in 2010. Colangelo graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1997 and Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2001. She received her MFA at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Her NYU thesis project, a short film called ''Little Accidents'', premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. It won the Grand Jury Prizes for Narrative Short from the Seattle International Film Festival. A full length somewhat different version of the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014 and received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Screenplay. Chris Columbus (filmmaker)
Chris Joseph Columbus (born September 10, 1958) is an American filmmaker. Born in Spangler, Pennsylvania, Columbus studied film at Tisch School of the Arts where he developed an interest in filmmaking. After writing screenplays for several teen comedies in the mid-1980s, he made his directorial debut with a teen adventure, ''Adventures in Babysitting'' (1987). Columbus gained recognition soon after with the highly successful Christmas comedy ''Home Alone'' (1990) and its sequel '' Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'' (1992). The comedy ''Mrs. Doubtfire'' (1993), starring Robin Williams, was another box office success for Columbus. The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), held annually in Seattle, Washington since 1976, is among the top film festivals in North America.
