Lists Of Twin Towns And Sister Cities
This is a list of "twin towns" or "sister cities" — that is, pairs of towns or cities in different countries which have town twinning arrangements. Note that the list is likely to always remain incomplete, since no canonical list of such arrangements exists. Any twinning arrangement should be listed at two locations in the list: once for each of the towns involved in the arrangement. Due to the extreme size of this list and for ease of navigation, the list is divided into separate lists by continent, which are then organized by country. Lists for some countries have in turn been moved to separate lists, which are linked individually below. List Of Fictional Supercouples
This is a list of supercouples, fictional couples who have been titled supercouples by the media, usually with the addition of substantial fan support; they may have been referred to as ''power couples'' or ''dynamic duos'', and are often defined by a standard set of criteria or circumstances; these circumstances include mania (significant press and media attention being placed on the couple, having to do with charm rather than negativity), the couple being labeled a supercouple by valid sources, the couple having notably impacted popular culture (such as by mania or by becoming a de facto symbol for its genre), and having been listed as an all-time top romance. Each of these examples have been identified by scholars, critics and press as defining supercouples. Supercouple
A supercouple or super couple (also known as a power couple) is a popular and/or wealthy pairing that intrigues and fascinates the public in an intense or obsessive fashion. The term originated in the United States, and it was coined in the early 1980s when intense public interest in fictional soap opera couple Luke Spencer and Laura Webber, from ''General Hospital'', made the pair a popular culture phenomenon. The term ''supercouple'' typically refers to fictional couples from television dramas and film, such as ''Gone with the Wind''s Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara. With regard to real-life pairings, tabloids and the mainstream media have focused on wealthy or popular celebrity couples, and have titled them supercouples or power couples. Examples are the pairing of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez (which became known by the portmanteau " Bennifer"), and the former relationship of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ("Brangelina"). Definitions Supercouples are defined as popular or f ...
