Live action (or live-action) is a form of cinematography or videography that uses photography instead of animation. Some works combine live-action with animation to create a live-action animated film. Live-action is used to define film, video games or similar visual media. ''Aldergrove Star'' is a newspaper in Aldergrove, British Columbia. The original title of the paper was Aldergrove Herald and it was started on 16 October 1957. From then on the paper was renamed many times: ''Aldergrove News'' (27 February 1958 – 30 April 1964); ''Central Fraser Valley Echo'' (6 May 1964 – 23 December 1964) and ''Central Valley Star'' (17 January 1967 – 5 February 1969). Wu Tsang
Wu Tsang (born 1982 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is a filmmaker, artist and performer based in New York and Berlin, whose work is concerned with hidden histories, marginalized narratives, and the act of performing itself. In 2018, Tsang received a MacArthur Fellows Program, MacArthur "genius" grant. According to Tsang, her films, videos, and performances look to explore the "in-betweeness" in which people and ideas cannot be discussed in binary terms. Generally, her films form a hybrid of narrative and documentary; they do not conform fully to one form or the other. Her projects have been presented at the Tate Modern (London), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), Migros Museum (Zurich), the Whitney Museum and the New Museum (New York), the MCA Chicago, and MoCA Los Angeles. Tourmaline (born 1983; formerly known as Reina Gossett) is an American artist, filmmaker, activist, editor, and writer. She is a transgender woman who identifies as queer. Tourmaline is most notable for her work in transgender activism and economic justice, through her work with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Critical Resistance and Queers for Economic Justice. In 2017, she edited the book ''Trap Door: Trans Cultural Production and the Politics of Visibility,'' with co-editors Eric A. Stanley and Johanna Burton. The book is part of a series called ''Critical Anthologies in Art and Culture'' by MIT Press. Tourmaline served as the 2016–2018 Activist-in-Residence at Barnard Center for Research on Women.
