The Calvary at Saint-Thégonnec is part of the enclosure (enclos paroissial) of the parish church of Notre-Dame in Saint-Thégonnec. Background and description of the calvary Apart from Roland Doré's "Christ aux outrages", and the crucifixion cross attributed to Yann Larhantec, the sculptural work on this calvary has been attributed to the Maître de Saint-Thégonnec's workshop, who are also credited with work on the calvary of the St Sébastien Chapel at Saint-Ségal and another at Locquénolé near Morlaix. In 1794, during the course of the French revolution, the calvary was knocked down but the local people managed to save the sculptures and hide them away, although some were lost. The Pleyben Parish close (Enclos paroissial) is a historical cathedral complex at Pleyben in the Châteaulin arrondissement of Brittany (administrative region), Brittany in northwestern France. The enclosed paroissial comprises the parish church dedicated to Saint Germain of Auxerre, a funeral chapel/ossuary, a triumphal arch serving as the enclosed entrance, and the Calvary at Pleyben. The building is dominated by two bell towers. The rightmost, known as the Saint Germain, is in the Renaissance style and is topped by a lanterned dome; whilst the other has a Gothic architecture, Gothic style spire. The Locmélar Parish close ('' Enclos paroissial'') is located at Locmélar in the arrondissement of Morlaix in Brittany in north-western France. It is a listed historical monument since 1934. Eglise Saint-Mélar The calvary The calvary dates to 1600 and was restored by the sculptor Donnart in 1925. It is 6 metres high and on the crosspiece beneath that depicting Christ on the cross there are statues of the Virgin Mary reversed with Mary Magdalene, and John the Evangelist reversed with Saint Peter, on either side of a "''Vierge de Pitié''" reversed with a "''Christ'' ''enseignant''".
