This is a list of landscape painters of the Russian Federation, Soviet Union, and Russian Empire, both ethnic Russians and people of other ethnicities. Alexey Bogolyubov
Alexey Petrovich Bogolyubov (russian: Алексей Петрович Боголюбов; 16 March 1824 – 3 February 1896) was a Russian landscape art, landscape painter. Biography Bogolyubov was born in the Pomeranie village of Novgorod Gubernia. His father was retired colonel Pyotr Gavriilovich Bogolyubov. Bogolyubov's maternal grandfather was the philosopher and social critic Alexander Radishchev.''Alexey Bogolyubov'' article In 1841, Bogolyubov graduated from military school, serving in the Russian Navy and travelling with the fleet to many countries. Grigory Chernetsov
Grigory Grigoryevich Chernetsov (russian: Григорий Григорьевич Чернецов, 1802, Lukh — 1865, Saint Petersburg) was a Russian painter. He is notable mainly for landscapes of various parts of Russia, produced during his travels, but he also was active as portrait and genre painter. Biography Chernetsov was born in Lukh, currently part of Ivanovo Oblast, Russia. His father and older brother, Yevgraf, were icon painters. His brother, Nikanor Chernetsov, three years younger than Grigory, became a landscape painter as well, and often worked together with Grigory Chernetsov. In 1819, Grigory Chernetsov, encouraged by Pavel Svinyin, who was earlier travelled to Lukh, arrived in Saint Petersburg where he wanted to enroll in the Imperial Academy of Arts. Victor Borisov-Musatov
Victor Elpidiforovich Borisov-Musatov (russian: Ви́ктор Эльпидифо́рович Бори́сов-Муса́тов), ( – ) was a Russian painter, prominent for his unique Post-Impressionistic style that mixed Symbolism, pure decorative style and realism. Together with Mikhail Vrubel he is often referred as the creator of ''Russian Symbolism'' style. Biography Victor Musatov was born in Saratov, Russia (he added the last name Borisov later). His father was a minor railway official who had been born as a serf. In his childhood he suffered a spinal injury, which made him humpbacked for the rest of his life. In 1884 he entered Saratov real school, where his talents as an artist were discovered by his teachers Fedor Vasiliev and Konovalov. He was enrolled in the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1890, transferring the next year to the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint-Petersburg, where he was a pupil of Pavel Chistyakov. Veniamin Borisov
Veniamin Ivanovich Borisov (russian: Вениами́н Ива́нович Бори́сов; 16 April 1935, in Susanino, Kostroma Oblast, Russian SFSR – 6 October 2014, in Saint Petersburg) was a Soviet Russian painter, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 – the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation, lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. Biography Veniamin Ivanovich Borisov was born on 16 April 1935 in Susanino village, Kostroma Oblast of the Russian Federation. Murmansk (Russian: ''Мурманск'' lit.
