State highway loops in Texas are owned and maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Loop 201 Loop 201 was located in Baytown. Loop 201 was designated on September 23, 1959, as a redesignation of Spur 201 when it was extended northeast to SH 146 at McKinney Road. On October 22, 1976, the road was extended east 1.1 miles to SH 146 near Ferry Road. Loop 201 was cancelled on March 28, 1996, and became a portion of SH 146 when it was rerouted. Loop 203 Loop 203 (1948) The first use of the Loop 203 designation was in Collin County as a loop off then-proposed US 75 in McKinney. On May 25, 1954, the route was unchanged, but was signed as US 75 Business after US 75 was rerouted. Loop 203 was cancelled on October 28, 1961, and removed from the highway system. Leon County, Texas
Leon County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 15,719. Its county seat is Centerville. History The legislature of the Republic of Texas authorized Leon County in 1846 from part of Robertson County, and named it in honor of Martín de León, the founder of Victoria, Texas. However, local tradition holds that it is named for a yellow wolf of the region commonly called the ''león'' (Spanish for lion). The county was organized that same year, with its first county seat at Leona. In 1851, the county seat was moved to Centerville, since Leona was in the far southern part of the county. The 1886 Leon County Courthouse was designed by architect George Edwin Dickey of Houston, incorporating remnants of an earlier 1858 courthouse that was destroyed by fire. Martin County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 5,237. Its county seat is Stanton. The county was created in 1876 and organized in 1884. It is named for Wylie Martin, an early settler. Until November 2018, Martin County was one of six entirely dry counties in Texas. During that month, Martin County changed from a dry county to a partially wet county after Stanton residents voted to approve the sale of beer and wine within city limits. Five dry counties remain. State Highway 20 (SH 20) is a highway maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) that runs from New Mexico State Road 460 at the state line between Texas and New Mexico at Anthony in El Paso County to Interstate 10 at McNary in Hudspeth County. It largely follows a former alignment of U.S. Route 80. The route passes through the city of El Paso as well as suburban and rural farming communities along the Rio Grande. With the exception of a stretch north of central El Paso where the route crosses north of I-10, the route generally runs in a narrow belt between I-10 and the Rio Grande.
