Turkish Cycling Federation
The Turkish Cycling Federation ( tr, Türkiye Bisiklet Federasyonu, TBF) is the national governing body of cycle racing in Turkey. Founded in 1923, its headquarters is located in Ulus quarter of Ankara. Current president of TBF is Emin Müftüoğlu. The TBF is a member of the UCI and the UEC. History The first bicycle competition held in Turkish history was organized by ethnic Armenian Leon effendi and Papazyan in 1910-1912 in the city of Salonica. Eventually, these Cycling competitions got sponsored by the Fenerbahçe sports club which organized races from the Fenerbahçe neighborhood, then Maslak, and Bakırköy. Turkish Ice Hockey Federation ( tr, Türkiye Buz Hokeyi Federasyonu, TBHF) is the governing body of the ice hockey sport in Turkey. It was established in 1991 as the Turkish Ice Sports Federation ( tr, Türkiye Buz Sporları Federasyonu, TBSF). It is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since May 1, 1991. The TBHF is based in Ankara and its current chairman is Orhan Duman. TBHF conducts seven ice hockey leagues for men's and women's. The federation organizes also the national teams for men's, men's junior, men's U-18 and women's. As of October 2012, Turkey men's national team ranks 39th and the women's 35th in the world. The Turkish Fencing Federation ( tr, Türkiye Eskrim Federasyonu) is the governing body for the sport of fencing in Turkey. It was founded in 1923.
