John Rich (musician)
John Rich (born January 7, 1974) is an American country music singer-songwriter. From 1992 to 1998, he was a member of the country music band Lonestar, in which he played bass guitar and alternated with Richie McDonald as lead vocalist. After departing from the band in 1998, he embarked on a solo career on BNA Records in the late 1990s, releasing two singles for the label and recording ''Underneath the Same Moon'', which was not released until 2006. In 2001, he self-released ''Rescue Me'', an album he was inspired to record by a cancer patient named Katie Darnell. By 2003, he joined Big Kenny to form the duo Big & Rich, who released three albums on Warner Bros. Records as well as ten singles, including the Number One " Lost in This Moment". After Big & Rich went on hiatus in 2007, Rich began work on a third solo album, ''Son of a Preacher Man'', which has produced two more chart singles. It was released in February 2005 as the fourth and final single from their album '' Horse of a Different Color''. The song was written by Big Kenny, John Rich and Angie Aparo. Content The characters in the song are presumably a band performing a gig at a bar, singing toward a wealthier patron. They thank him for his generosity in providing various items that can be used by others, such as boats and planes. They ask, however, that he be generous when tipping for their performance. David Kersh
Charles David Kersh (born December 9, 1970 in Humble, Texas) is an American former country music singer who made his debut in 1996. His first album, ''Goodnight Sweetheart'', was released that year, producing four singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. A second album, titled ''If I Never Stop Loving You'', was released a year later, producing three additional chart singles. Although he never charted after 1998, Kersh remained active in the music business until 2005. Biography Kersh graduated in 1989 from Humble High School near Houston. Larry Eugene Boone (born June 7, 1956) is an American country music artist and songwriter. Between 1985 and 1993, Boone recorded five major label studio albums, in addition to charting several singles on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Singles charts. His highest-charting single, "Don't Give Candy to a Stranger", reached No. 10 in 1988. Tom Curtis Shapiro (born in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American songwriter and occasional record producer, known primarily for his work in country music. To date, he holds four Country Songwriter of the Year awards from Broadcast Music Incorporated, as well as the Songwriter of the Decade award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International. Keith Harling (born May 8, 1963) is an American former country music artist. He made his debut in 1998 with the album ''Write It in Stone'', issued on the MCA Nashville label. Lonestar (formerly known as Texassee) is an American country music group from Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Drew Womack (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Michael Britt (lead guitar, background vocals), Dean Sams (keyboards, acoustic guitar, background vocals), and Keech Rainwater (drums). Britt, Sams, and Rainwater co-founded the band in 1992 with original lead vocalist Richie McDonald and bass guitarist/vocalist John Rich.
