List Of Songs Recorded By Nicole Scherzinger
American singer Nicole Scherzinger has recorded songs for two studio albums and other projects, including collaborations with other artists. She came to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the girl-group Eden's Crush. Under her Hawaiian name, Nicole Kea, she began distributing demo CDs to different labels in hopes of a solo deal. In 2003 Scherzinger auditioned for and was cast as the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, a burlesque troupe turned recording music group. While recording the group's debut album, '' PCD'' (2005), Scherzinger began working on her own solo album titled ''Her Name Is Nicole'', which was due to be released in 2007. Over the course of two years, Scherzinger recorded around 100 songs while working with songwriter-producers Akon, Sean Garrett, Gary Lightbody, Ne-Yo, Polow da Don, T.I., Timbaland and will.i.am. In September 2007 Scherzinger released her debut single, "Baby Love" featuring will.i.am, achieving moderate success. The lack of success of ...

I Hate This Part
"I Hate This Part" is a song by American girl group the Pussycat Dolls from their second album, ''Doll Domination'' (2008). The song was written by Wayne Hector, Lucas Secon, Jonas Jeberg, Mich Hansen and produced by the latter two along with Ron Fair and Nicole Scherzinger. It was initially recorded for Scherzinger's planned solo project, ''Her Name is Nicole'', but after its cancellation the song was placed in the group's second album. "I Hate This Part" was released on October 14, 2008, as the second international single and impacted contemporary hit radio stations on October 20, 2008, as the fourth single in the United States by Interscope Records. "I Hate This Part" is a dance/ R&B-influenced pop ballad which ditches the Pussycat Dolls's usual sexual image in favor of introspection. Poison (Nicole Scherzinger Song)
"Poison" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Nicole Scherzinger for her debut solo studio album, ''Killer Love'' (2011). Released on October 25, 2010, it is the first single from the album. It was produced by RedOne, BeatGeek and Jimmy Joker, and is distinctively different from Scherzinger's previous attempts at releasing solo material. "Poison" is backed with powerful synthesizers and a pulsing dance-pop beat. The single was released as a two-track digital download and as a seven-track remixes extended play (EP). "Poison" has received mostly positive reviews from most music critics who praised her new sound and the energy on the record but some criticized the song for being too generic. Scherzinger performed "Poison" live for the first time on the seventh series of ''The X Factor'' on November 28, 2010, to coincide with the song's UK release. Both the show's judges and studio audiences gave her a standing ovation, with the media later praising her energy, choreo ...

Lead Single
A lead single (also known as a debut single) is the first single to be released from a studio album by an artist or a band, usually before the album itself is released and also occasionally on the same day of the album's release date. Release strategies Artists often choose songs that are more up-tempo, yet representative of the album's sound, as lead singles. Such songs are often catchier and attract the attention of listeners. The subsequent single might then be slower in tempo, in order to demonstrate the range of the album. Female vocalists like Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera often maintain a formula of an up-tempo first lead single with a slow ballad follow-up. For example, two singles were released by Miley Cyrus before her album ''Bangerz'' - an up-tempo track called, "We Can't Stop" was released as the first single, and a slow-ballad song, "Wrecking Ball" as the second. This was a successful practice of 1980s heavy metal bands. Girls Aloud chose to use " The Show ...

Killer Love
''Killer Love'' is the debut solo studio album by American singer Nicole Scherzinger. It was released on March 18, 2011, by Interscope Records, in association with its affiliated record labels. Scherzinger had been working on a solo album since 2005, under the title ''Her Name Is Nicole'' and was originally due for release in 2007. However, unsuccessful singles and poor timing led the project being pushed back numerous times. After releasing The Pussycat Dolls' second studio album '' Doll Domination'' (2008), Scherzinger shelved the project entirely citing bad timing and creative issues as the reasons for its cancellation. Many of its songs were reassigned to the Dolls or other artists. In 2010, Moroccan producer RedOne was brought on board for a second attempt at launching her solo album. Completed in 2011 and titled ''Killer Love'', Scherzinger's debut album features a combination of up-tempo pop and Eurodance songs, as well as mid-tempo ballads. Songs contain influences of roc ...

Pop Music
Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. The terms ''popular music'' and ''pop music'' are often used interchangeably, although the former describes all music that is popular and includes many disparate styles. During the 1950s and 1960s, pop music encompassed rock and roll and the youth-oriented styles it influenced. ''Rock'' and ''pop'' music remained roughly synonymous until the late 1960s, after which ''pop'' became associated with music that was more commercial, ephemeral, and accessible. Although much of the music that appears on record charts is considered to be pop music, the genre is distinguished from chart music. Identifying factors usually include repeated choruses and hooks, short to medium-length songs written in a basic format (often the verse-chorus structure), and rhythms or tempos that can be easily danced to. Much pop music also borrows elements from other styles ...
