Hristo Botev Comprehensive School, Targovishte
Hristo Botev School ( bg, Училище Христо Ботев) is a comprehensive school in the town of Targovishte in the Targovishte Province, Bulgaria. Named after the Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev, the school is among the oldest ones in the town and province. It has 8 grades, separated in two educational levels. Education In Bulgaria
Education in Bulgaria is guided and overseen by Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science. Since 1990, primary education that is compulsory includes one or two years of preschool education (usually starting around age 5), before children start primary school. Education is compulsory until age of 18. Education at state primary and secondary schools is free of charge, except for the state and private higher education schools, colleges and universities, that although offer students scholarships. In 1998 enrollment in the primary grades was 93 percent of eligible students, and enrollment in the secondary grades was 81 percent of eligible students. With the gender ratio of female to male students in primary schools was 0.97, and the ratio in secondary schools was 0.98.
